If The (Chilean) Miner Rescue Would Have Been In Costa Rica... (joke)

While the below are jokes circulating via text message and social sites in Costa Rica, it's also 100% true :1orglaugh

1. Can't get them out today, it is a holiday, hold on until Monday.

2. If legislators were to approve a rescue plan, it certainly would be appealed at the Constitutional Court.

3. A legislative commission would be formed to evaluate the matter, meeting once a week or less

4. Oscar Lopez (the blind legislator and candidate for mayor of San José) would complain that the rescue shaft not having an emergency exit and/or a handicap ramp

5. Gloria Valerín would protest the rescue efforts on the grounds that the mine is a "mine" full of machistas (ie. there were no women on the mine crew)

6. Autopistas del Sol would probably be given the concession and the shaft would have already fallen apart due to poor workmanship and inferior materials

7. If the MOPT would built the shaft it would run into a AyA (water) pipe and flood the entire mine

8. The machinery and rescue crews would be stalled on their way to the rescue having to wait for the clearing of the mudslides and repair of the sunken roads

9. The Chinese would be called on to made a donation to pay for the project with the continued promise of having nothing to do with Taiwan

10. In the end there would be an investigation into the concession contract

And while the media picked up on the amorous situation of one of the miners, where the wife and "amante" lover fought over who should be there to greet, in Costa Rica it would be news if one of the miners DID NOT have more than one woman there greet him.

Enjoy :)
