Sure, Toronto has gone the longest without winning a Cup. But at least they have won a championship. Thirteen of them, in fact.

That is 13 more than Los Angeles and St. Louis have won. It is also 13 more than the Atlanta Thrashers, Buffalo Sabres, Columbus Blue Jackets, Florida Panthers, Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators, Ottawa Senators, Phoenix Coyotes, San Jose Sharks and Vancouver Canucks have won.

But unlike the Kings, Blues, Sabres, Canucks, Panthers and Senators, the Leafs have also gone 43 years without reaching the final. In fact, they have missed the playoffs 16 times since winning the Cup in 1967.

they won't win the Stanley Cup but Burke has done a good job rebuilding fairly quickly.
they'll make the playoffs this year if they don't have major injuries, they're too thin to deal with injuries to any key players.
