What happen when you leave a McDonald's Happy Meal out for 6 months.

Manhattan artist Sally Davies bought a McDonald's Happy Meal on April 26, 2010. She placed it on her coffee table, uncovered, and took photos every day for six months. This video shows the result: PRETTY MUCH NOTHING HAPPENS.

Video is here on this page:

Further validation for why I will keep my kids from anything other than a Sundae from McDonald's...for as long as I can. :1orglaugh

god damn, McDonalds has found the fountain of youth!

to be fair she should have made her own burger and fries and put that beside the Happy Meal.

not sure about the fries and hamburger meat but the bun should have grown mold on it.

_Richard_ 10-13-2010 08:23 AM

It also does seem a bit fishy that the food has been moved between the pics. Why did she need to touch it at all?

I'm not saying McDonald's is good food or anything, but things like SuperSize Me over exaggerate to try to make a point. Morgan Spulock ate MickeyD's for every meal for however many days. Only a fucking moron would do that. I eat McDonald's every once in a while, and I like it. It's like most other things, fine if you do it in moderation.

When I came back from Amsterdam they where giving warm wraps for a snack... I took the veggie one and expiry day was July 2011... I asked for crackers and tomato juice instead LOL'd

Fucking gross.

SykkBoy 10-13-2010 10:42 AM

I'm calling shenanigans
the top bun was moved around so the plate was never just sitting there in the same spot for the whole time.
The absence of mold was due to the lack of humidity.
Also, as mentioned in this thread, there are no condiments on the burger. The moisture from them would have likely caused mold.

This "artist" knows absolutely nothing about science or biology...or even art...

The same cannot be said for their drinks. We accidentally left one in our car whilst on vacation. Ooops.

alias 10-13-2010 10:47 AM

Did she eat it?

John-ACWM 10-13-2010 10:47 AM

Saw it on yahoo news, interesting. Secrecy of the recipe...

Penthouse Tony 10-13-2010 11:04 AM

McDonald's fries are cut so thin most of the water evaporates out of it when frying. That's why you can't do this with steak fries. Notice how she got her burger dry? It wouldn't work so well if she had cheese, mustard, ketchup or anything liquid on it. All this means is that there is low moisture in McDonald's food. Leave a peanut out for 6 months and it will look new too.

Yeah...the cups break down faster than the food.

Let the retards keep on eating this atomic food. They're not welcome in the gene pool.
