Hina Patel, who was a supply teacher at Birkdale High School, Southport, met the boys at her home where they had sex, North Sefton magistrates heard.

The 37-year-old has pleaded guilty to two charges of abusing her position of trust by sexual misconduct.


Patel, of Sandilands Grove, Hightown, was bailed to appear at Liverpool Crown Court for sentencing next month.

She was suspended when the allegations emerged earlier this year.

Gary Loveridge, head of Birkdale High, said: "I am appalled she used her position in such a way.

"We are relieved we found out at such an early stage.

"But it just shows how you have to be very vigilant and your processes have to be robust."

How this goes is it is pointed out that teenage boys would want the sex. Well, does that make it right for an adult, much less an adult in an authority role to give it to them?
