LOS ANGELES—AVN.com has received confirmation from AIM Healthcare that an adult industry performer has tested positive for HIV.

“AIM has confirmed that an adult industry performer has tested positive for HIV,” AIM’s clinical administrator Brooke Miller told AVN. “We are currently quarantining and testing all exposed partners and we will have no further information until the end of the week. We are contacting everyone that might have been exposed. Please check the AIM database to confirm all tests.”

AVN.com has learned from sources that Patient Zero is a male performer who performed in both straight and gay adult videos. Additionally, we received word that an undetermined number of first and second generation adult performers who may have been exposed have been quarantined at this time.

Seeking to confirm the number of people in quarantine, Miller cautioned that it’s in flux as the clinic learns of new potential new exposures or eliminates those that test negative.

Free Speech Coalition Executive Director Diane Duke provided the following quote to AVN: "Clearly it is too early to know the facts of the case. The responsible thing to do is to wait for AIM to come back with their results. I applaud AIM for quickly identifying the risks and addressing the physical and emotional needs of those involved."

FSC has lobbied against condom use becoming mandatory in porn shot within California.

AHF has lobbied the other direction, demanding that condom use be made mandatory.

For its part, Cal-OSHA says that condom use is already mandatory under existing state law.

I think it is pretty clear why all three organizations would be contacted by the media in this situation.

I still don't see why they would be qualified to comment on a health issue simply because they lobbied against mandatory condom use, which by the way is a something that is eventually going to have to be done because so many porn girls are bareback escorting, while bi-sexual performers are shooting gay scenes, then coming to work with girls. No... There are a lot of rumors flying around. One I heard has it that a 22 year old female performer who does anal tested positive for HIV, and that there are "a lot" of people on the quarantine list. I've been told some names, and one of those folks confirmed to me that he's quarantined.

Through deductive reasoning and knowing who does what, a few of us have figured out who zero is. We had it figured yesterday afternoon and called the few people i respect and call friend to give them heads up.

My question is, why put out a story if you don't know the facts?? Know the facts before you destroy someone's life. If the guy does have HIV and continues to go around banging models that guy should be put in jail. However, if it turns out that he doesn't then this company or entity reporting that he does should go to jail.

I'm just saying don't issue a PR until you know the outcome of the tests.

I have heard that is more true than not. Again, not that it's anything against gays, but crossover performers have a higher probabilty of aids than straight-only performers.

??? Maybe to keep people informed? Get tested? Check tests more carefully? Not work with someone on the quarantine list? Need any more??


The facts:

A male performer that does gay and strait tested positive for HIV.

Everyone who had contact with him is listed as 1st generation.

Everyone that worked with 1st generation are listed as 2nd generation contact.

35+ people in total have been quarantined and are not allowed to work.

If this just stays with the male performer that got it from the gay side of the industry or gay private, then we are ok.

But the serious issue right now is that he worked with a few girls that work everyday. So there is a greater exposure rate as a result of those girls working everyday. The positive is that there is a much smaller 1st generation and the majority of the quarantine list is 2nd generation.



On a positive note. AIM has notified everyone that had exposure 2 days ago and quarantined them.


On a way lame not, this industry may get shut down completely for 2-3 weeks with in the next 24 hours.

If you are a shooter and i know who you as a shooter, feel free to ICQ me for details. But as of now AIM did their job with a complete quarantine of all the people that are involved. Zero, 1st and 2nd generations are all not working as of 2 days ago.


The best way to know is check all tests online with AIM. If there tests do not come up, they are quarantined. For the next 3 weeks all paper tests are bullshit!!! Online or phone checks are the only way to check tests for the next 3 weeks.
