Who knows how to do geo ip banners?

I have a geo ip script. A programmer.

Who can do this up? Not make the banners, but the process.

something like my sig?

It should be pretty obvious to any programmer... which part are you having problems with? or are you looking for a programmer to hook this up?

i want to pay to get it done, i know its not a massive job someone already has one written, i dont want to get my guy to busy. I just mean like once its implemented im not gonna need help.

I need it on the actual banner, like text on it.

like I said - the sig:

http://www.geoplugin.com/geoexamples...er/weather.gif

Can be considered as a banner as it's a GIF file and has geo text on it. It also happens to have geo-weather on it too...

GD Library can help your programmer there.

step 1: instead of calling an image in your image tag, call a .php script...

in that php script you will need to get the browsers language setting and then print the correct banner based on that.... that is how you make them in a specific language.

if you want to make them with the location on them, thats a bit more difficult, what you will need to do is use a number of the functions found here: http://us2.php.net/manual/en/ref.image.php in fact if you read through some of them, there are already examples of code on how to do this.... you will just need to get them all to work together to get the result you waant.

this is the main function involved in this type of image manipulation with php... http://us2.php.net/manual/en/function.imagettftext.php

thats a nice way to go. just make sure u are using the IP of the user and not the IP of the server calling the php script. probably gotta embed it in the call..
