I knew Rory personally - haven't seen him in about twenty years, though. Last time I saw him him was when Mick Taylor played at the Elmo in Toronto. A fucking long time ago. He didn't come to the show, but he stopped by for the "after party" (Mick's after parties were about as much fun as watching your grass grow at that time.)

Alcohol has nothing to do with it. Its all about a good feeling of things to come. Say HI! to Willy from Nazareth while you're dropping names. I never met a road manager who's ass I wanted to kick more than that fucker.

My mom died June 20, 2010. Hopefully soon my wish will come true - once her estate is cleared up.

I was in Edinburgh years ago dining at the Witchery, when the Manfred Mann Earth Band came in to do a photo session. It was a surreal experience, and was one of my favorite memories of Scotland.

So sorry about your Mother. I lost my Father this year as well. :(
