Windows Media Player...
A while ago someone changed the setting on my comp that let's you take screen captures from Windows Media Player for me, but didn't show me where the setting was (at the time I was using Win2kPro(w/SP2)). But since then I have reformatted and it no longer works. Regardless of what's playing, I just get an all black screen capture. Would anyone be so kind as to tell me where the setting is to change this. I've looked myself but couldn't find it, and I'm not brave enough to go hunting and changing things in the registry. I'm running Windows XP Professional.

Anyone have any real help for me on this? :) thanks... |
if you have XP then you should have the movie maker prog they throw in there (look under accessories). There you can edit and do whatever to your videos. There is also a preview screen that plays the video. get it to the point you wnat and pause it and hit the "take picture" button. It then saves the screen shot of the video. But it may be smaller than what you need. if you need a hige screenshot of it you can try to fudge it in photoshop or see if you can change the size of the preview screen.
I upgraded to version 2.0 or whatever they have on the microsoft site, so you may need to do the same. its free and does not take long to dl and install the upgrade. hope this helps. |
