ASK ME: Marketing / Business Questions!

I'm trying to get a better idea of what you guys (gfy) want to learn more about ....

SO.......

Ask me your marketing and business questions. I'll do my best to answer them!

The Porn Nerd 10-05-2010 08:28 PM

Okay, here are a few:

1 What the fuck do you know about marketing and business?
2. Who the fuck are you?
3. Who the fuck do you think you are?

I'll listen to your answers off-air.

OMG Jim 10-05-2010 08:35 PM

O.K. Brian I'll take a stab at it.

When building an online business there are many options when it comes to determining where to allocate your marketing budget. The choices as I see it include industry related print advertising, online banner advertisements, show sponsorships and/or marketing promotions?

Not including traffic purchases what factors should companies consider when determining how to best allocate, percentage wise, their marketing budgets to include any or all of the methods listed above.

Thanks in advance for your answer. :thumbsup

Where will the big bucks be made in 2011? What niches/technologies/etc will be "hot" in the near future?

Jim, this is an awesome question. Will do my best to explain my theories behind marketing budgeting and forecasting tonight or tomorrow for you!

Let me guess - you have no concrete success in mainstream marketing, you definitely have no concrete success in the adult industry, but ultimately you'd like people to pay you for marketing tips on how to create successful adult content/blogs/freesites/tgps/paysites and the like... correct? Sounds like my good friend DamianJ :thumbsup

Find where I've asked anyone for any money for any of my advice on Return My Jedi, or where I have attempted to sell informational products, and I will paypal you $5.

I don't have to prove any of my success to anyone but my wife and daughter. Pissing matches just aren't my thing, but my family lives a very good lifestyle, and very comfortably.

People who have paid me to work for them have done so because I'm good at what I do.

I'm offering true free advice...so....Take it or leave it - your benefit, or your loss.

Been a while since I've generated free traffic (I usually found it a LOT of work and little payoff)....BUT...I will definitely see what I can pull from the archives of my mind, and try to spin it into something useful for the current competitive market.

This is....basically right up my alley.

Is this your product?

If so, grab me on ICQ, I've got some questions for you that I'm sure you won't want publicly known before I can give you what I would do if this were my product.

Thanks! :)

I have some questions for you VHNet, i will repost when i will gather all of them :)

Adam_M 10-06-2010 07:21 PM

1) How can I turn a sows ear into a silk purse?
2) How can I make a lot and do little or nothing?
3) How can I get out of my moms basement?

If you can answer these three questions I am sure you will appeal to the GFY masses :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Look forward to them!

I'm going to be writing decent length articles for all of these questions...I don't think that simple posts on GFY can do justice to them. They're very good so far! :)

Ok, after I got into this I realized how LONG it would be if I tried to go from start -> finish with marketing budgeting. What I tried to do instead was provide a "look over my shoulder" sort of answer that hopefully covers (at least) the surface of my thoughts on the issue.

Find it here:

http://returnmyjedi.com/2010/10/mark...d-forecasting/

Thanks again for your question!
