what are rep's and is there a point to them?

Rep is just reputation points. In theory, if people like a post you make they will click the scales under your name and give you good rep. If they didn't like a post they give negative rep. The people with higher rep have more green squares under their post count.

In order to give rep you have to be a green nickname.

Is there a point? Well, the board is getting a ton more posts about it and so that has created a buzz. It won't last but it is a brief amount of fun. If you take it too seriously the point will be to get a reaction...like you just provided.

So, really rep is the GFY of 'liking' on Facebook.

And then people like me will simply rep people like harvey when they decide to post a kick ass song.

Im guessing that the true GFY trolls will get marked up with red by the longtime green sigs that have 10K+ posts.

Under 10K cannot rep anybody.


Its kind of funny watching some people that claim they dont care get upset. But you are right, at the end of the day it really means nothing. but it is kinda fun at this moment.:thumbsup

I don't think reputation marks from strangers are very important. However, it is important to receive good reputation from the people you deal with such as your teachers and customers.

How can I see my rep points? Just curious since I don't see anything in my profile and I saw ome screenshots that you are able to see who gave you reps :)
