So whats Mallick is up to this days?
Working on replacement for epass ?
Making another movie? |
Other than maybe something with his "Bros", he's done in this business...

probably hidden in a room full of lawyers trying to find a way out. At least that's what I'd do in his situation
|
Factoring finance ;)

My guess is that epass is/was not a huge part of his overall income and he realizes its much easier to cut his losses and move on.

One thing Chris Mallick isn't doing is being honest with his customers, or rather his former customers.

licking his wounds for sure, two colossal disasters in the span of a couple months. His finances have to be stretched to ruin if not all the way there.
for some people the bigger they rise the harder they fall. The hard part isn't making money, its not losing it. Personally I am a lot tighter with every penny I make these days vs the projects and gambles I took in the past with lots of the money i made. |

Probably sipping a $40 glass of scotch and laughing his ass off over the whole situation with a couple multi-millionaire bros...

i guess you are unaware of the money that processing gaming sites can create.. the only question is whether or not he was smart with that money or dumb and invested in ego based movie ventures.... :2 cents: ps... epass is over, you dont need to suck on his cock anymore.... . |

It's a lot harder to make money these days and replace what you lost. I seriously doubt he is laughing, crying probably more like it. |

personally, i have a feeling that middle men and epass demise has had a very negative effect on chris's net worth.... :2 cents: . |

I bet he gambled with his shitty movie. Pulled early from theaters, made no draw and had a lousy plot. Good Riddance!

I wonder what the paper value of epassporte was 2/3 months ago. Quite a bit of paper thats not worth very much now. Maybe they can apply for some left over TARP funds.

clueless ... |
I think he will probably be working on the epassporte asset sale. That is some pretty valuable data they have there, and I am sure there would be no shortage of buyers......
|
i dont think he is exactly somewhere drinking it up and laughing his ass off, but at the same time he should still have plenty of money left over even with the big hit to his money.
regardless of whether or not he ever gets his middlemen investment back, his biggest loss is going to come from lost future income from epass. he had to be making bank off that shit each month which all of a sudden has vanished. i dont care how much money you have, you still miss it when it stops coming in. the pimp inside me hopes that he took the money, ran, and is chillin on a big ass yacht somewhere laughing his ass off with millions and millions of stolen epass money and a couple half naked honies on his arm, but i doubt it. probably somewhere a bit stressed over what to do next and how to show his face in public |
From what I've seen it did about $700k so far in it's tiny box office release. A lot of the reason why Middle Men didn't make much in theaters was that it wasn't presented to a large audience in the first place. It was released the same week as The Other Guys, which tons of people went to see, and Inception was still killing it in theater at that time. Middle Men isn't exactly a theater-worthy story, especially when in competition with two big names. Nobody wanted to see this shit in theaters. It grossed $700k while offered to an extremely small portion of the domestic market, in an unfavorable position to compete with a couple big name releases. Even if it sucks ass. I can't count the number of garbage movies I've paid to see just out of lack of options, or plain bad choice. Put that on shelves and people will rent it or buy it. It WILL makes back it's investment eventually. I wouldn't call it a success by any means, but it isn't a loss yet either...

I think the movie might actually do ok on hotel ppv / dvd rental / cable etc.
It's gonna take a while but these movies do tend to get close to break even just on having a decent star. |
The movie probably wont even make it to dvd.
|
I think he's gonna make more movies etc.
