why would epassporte want to have my cvv2?

I just got a message from them on their site that to accept my cc they want to not block out the cvv2 number. Why? So they could steal my freaking money. it would mean they have everything from me and could just use it to clear my card.

Is this normal i have had never had to show that any were. Any one else has ever done this?

Sounds like a phishing email

Jdoughs 09-30-2010 06:28 AM

They have 0 control over your Visa numbers/cards, so tell them to get fucked.

this was not in an email but they state that in the upload center. they are also fuking me because i used my second name and my second last name which are both on my passporte to register on their site in the past. they have so much money from me. They have my wifes credit card info mine, statements of both cc and a written letter that i have all control over my wifes credit card and they still have my account locked and asking for my cvv2. Whats up with these guys.

They wanted the exact same info off of me a while back too. I told them they can fucking whistle for it, there is no way they are getting all the info of one card.

I sent in redacted copies.

Mr. Cool Ice 09-30-2010 07:07 AM

Tell them to fuck off.

They screwed you with your money, now you trust them with your credit card data?

Sly 09-30-2010 07:09 AM

I'm confused. What do they want the cvv2 for and what's the reason you aren't giving it? They are required in almost all online purchases?

Agent 488 09-30-2010 07:12 AM

i think he is sending wallet money to cc? and account was locked until verification?

Serge Litehead 09-30-2010 07:15 AM

i don't understand it either, if you require cvv2 - make a submit form so that system can perform the check and won't store it in the db as per requirement of visa/mc and no live person will ever see it and handle it. i would never trust sending back card scan to anyone, way too insecure. no single issuing bank will approve such a requirement also

Sly 09-30-2010 07:20 AM

So you are sending them front and back scans of your epass card or a separate credit card?

SmokeyTheBear 09-30-2010 07:37 AM

Chris mallick has 2 more movies in the making , how do you expect him to fund the movies if he doesn't have your cvv2 # ?

the nerve of some people these days..

BillyHoe 09-30-2010 07:43 AM

If you give them the cvv2 number be sure to ask for a kiss or at least a reach around first.

If you try to withdraw funds to a credit card, they ask for a full copy of the front and back of the card in order to 'verify' - or at least they used to.

They want the full card number, cvv, expiry date, the lot.

Serge Litehead 09-30-2010 08:20 AM

i know that they require it if you want to hook up withdrawal into your other CC/debit card.
i just don't get them requiring scans for it especially the back of a card. i see many people send them that because probably they have no other options.
too risky on so many levels imho.
