Scientists find inhabitable Earth-like planet Finally
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100929/...sci_new_earths
Could 'Goldilocks' planet be just right for life? I wonder if people live there. Aliens? Do they have internet? or are they way beyond or are we more advanced? I hope they explore the shit out of it, would be a trip to find life on other planets finally. WASHINGTON ? Astronomers say they have for the first time spotted a planet beyond our own in what is sometimes called the Goldilocks zone for life: Not too hot, not too cold. Juuuust right. Not too far from its star, not too close. So it could contain liquid water. The planet itself is neither too big nor too small for the proper surface, gravity and atmosphere. It's just right. Just like Earth. "This really is the first Goldilocks planet," said co-discoverer R. Paul Butler of the Carnegie Institution of Washington. The new planet sits smack in the middle of what astronomers refer to as the habitable zone, unlike any of the nearly 500 other planets astronomers have found outside our solar system. And it is in our galactic neighborhood, suggesting that plenty of Earth-like planets circle other stars. Finding a planet that could potentially support life is a major step toward answering the timeless question: Are we alone? Scientists have jumped the gun before on proclaiming that planets outside our solar system were habitable only to have them turn out to be not quite so conducive to life. But this one is so clearly in the right zone that five outside astronomers told The Associated Press it seems to be the real thing. "This is the first one I'm truly excited about," said Penn State University's Jim Kasting. He said this planet is a "pretty prime candidate" for harboring life. more... http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100929/...sci_new_earths |
The Aliens that are smarter than humans would be able to view the Internet.

Mars and Venus are in the "Goldilocks Zone", too. Just saying...

nice........

Do you think the alien adult content producers have found a way to fight piracy? How advanced are their tube sites?
|
Thank god, was looking to move to someplace less cramped.

Cool, maybe we can ship all the Progressives, Stalinists, Maoists, Communists and Obama supporters there. They can create a workers paradise, a safe distance from Earth.

It answers the timeless question, not "are we alone" but where we can relocate to next when we finish off our current planet and fubar it. They better get working with better space ships so they can get us there before this one is too far beyond repare. |

Soon the greys will come to crush the human race.

Nonetheless, it's pretty damn hard to imagine there not being inhabited planets out there and plenty of them too. Luckily for everyone involved they're too far away for visits now or ever. |
The guy was saying it would take 200 years just to get satellite pictures back.

I hope, for the most part, that the chicks on that planet aren't as prude as the ones here on Earth.
I'm so sick of earthling blueballers. Maybe on the planet, chicks are HORNIER than dudes. Utopia. |
Question is : Does aliens watch porn too? Are they mastrubating also?
To be serious now , those are great news. But the article didnt mentioned if they calculated the planet's gravitational acceleration. Which is important to substain life |

I'm glad they are so far away - that way 'we' can't screw it up again

How long does it take to get there?
Mankind is doomed. Most if not all of us will probably die out before we can even think about going there. |

As usual, these stories get overlooked as the claims of kooks, even when air base commanders are the ones making those claims. |
Won't be long before the muslims take over the planet. Doesn't take them long to take over everywhere else...

You can find many cases in history where the invading civilization failed but you can see why these failures didn't become popularised through history. Losers are rarely remembered. |
