Who still creates and submit freesites?

Are people still making money by creating and submitting standard freesites?

I used to make a killing doing this, but haven't done it in years. Can you still make money doing this?

SpicyM 09-29-2010 06:44 AM

Create blogs instead. :2 cents:

HomerSimpson 09-29-2010 06:47 AM

anyone still doin' it and how is it working...

Nicky 09-29-2010 06:48 AM

In the same time It takes to make a freesite I can set up a blog with ~5 posts and submit It.

candyflip 09-29-2010 06:56 AM

Yeah...as pointed out, they're now called blogs. LOL.

darksoul 09-29-2010 06:59 AM

some peeps are making good money submitting galleries...
so, done right they should work

Ron2k1 09-29-2010 07:00 AM

I could never generate serious traffic with freesites, I did pretty well with TGP galleries like 6-7 years ago

TeenCat 09-29-2010 07:02 AM

free sites are still making nice money :) but seo is the key ...

wolfshade 09-29-2010 07:06 AM

Blogs seem to have taken over in that regard. And if you're really good autoblogs even ;)

hashbury 09-29-2010 07:26 AM

I am not currently submitting freesites, but I came into this bis using freesites. The freesite model is still alive, but you need to be within a certain group of linklist owners to be able to profit. You can generate serious traffic from freesites, but it is a long road of building. Once you build around 30 freesites you can use the same templates and just replace the content, title, description, and keywords. This will drive your build time down a lot. I really wouldnt start building freesites unless you plan on doing around 25+ sites a month for 6 months. If you need some more info, you can icq me and I will point you in the right direction.

Freesites and gallery submission are death.

elmy 09-29-2010 07:46 AM

Ace of Spades 09-29-2010 08:00 AM

I haven't done freesites in years but still make some some sales from time to time off the thousands I still have out there.

Thanks. I figured these days it's probably a waste of time, but there have to be some people still making $$ from them.

LeRoy 09-29-2010 08:27 AM

^^ Yep you need 1000's of them out there. Just to make decent $$

signupdamnit 09-29-2010 08:35 AM

There are usually other possibilities which yield a greater return given the time involved.

Horny Dude 09-29-2010 09:41 AM

Dam I remember the freesite days. Building a site a day and submitting it to 50+ link list. It was all right money, but it was a lot of work. That was back when AVS sites were making a killing.

Sarah_Jayne 09-29-2010 10:35 AM

I have pretty much treated my blogs as my free sites for the past couple years. Of course, I still do AVS but I am rare, I know. I do what I always did with free sites but push my blog stuff to my AVS sites or sponsors instead. All while not having to be told what my page can look like.
