missed opportunities....realize when they are slipping through your hands

every single day, i come across things which could turn out to be big money makers

usually my plate is full, so i dont worry about it.

im fully pushing my feeds, and they are doing well, so no biggie

but here i see a huge opportunity i missed out on....a few of them actually.

1....venture capitalist, with mega banking connections meets me through a mutual friend, and is very much interested in getting a processor up and running....i thought i didnt know enough to get it done, so i decline.....huge missed opportunity....even trying it would have opened doors to the banking world that would surely come in handy..this was maybe 6 years ago.

2...i work with many russian webmasters, many of them express an interest in me opening a check cashing service, similar to epassporte, this was years ago....my thinking was...i dont want to compete with epassporte as they already have so many sponsors using them....what a mistake that was....at the time, i was friends with the local bank manager, and he was friends with a big wig at TD...could you imagine coming out with a TD backed card? of course, we'd be stuck in cdn laws..but regardless...huge opp missed there

3...many moons ago, hanging out with some industry big wigs, and im very excited about mainstream, i tell them i want to create a huge network and basically do what cj is doing only better...everyone is all excited....they eventually cut me out, try on their own fail at what they tried...but now..i see several people making huge bank doing exactly what i wanted to do.

my point in all this? dont give up on your ideas, if it is a solid idea, it can fly.

i think i have said it many many times here but one thing that almost always rings true is

I was offered a chance to put in 2500$ and would have owned 1/4 of the import of a new beer. This was back in like 86 or so.

I thought it over and decided I would rather have fun than work for the couple weeks it would take me to earn it.

I would have owned 1/4 import license for Corona beer in the East of US.

A TD backed card would be very useful. People would trust this payment method, because TD is a trusted bank.

tons of things really but when it comes down to it, who knows how things would really turn out. its one thing to have a great idea and contacts but its another thing actually doing it.

one thing i really wish i would of done is bought up quality domains when i first got online. a pretty easy thing that could of had me retired by now.

18 months ago I had an opportunity to invest in a start up website that does flash sales of designer brands, it was a large sum and I just didn't share their vision.

A family member of mine is their CTO and brought the opportunity to me.

They did $4 million in sales last month ;-(

waiting for some more...

(I can't publish mine, because of some contracts I signed)
