Like coming out publically stating that they are just hoping that people settle and be done with it.

Talk about grasping at straws.

Good luck, but I really don't think this is going to have the results you are hoping.

marketsmart 09-27-2010 06:57 AM

i cant wait for you to go after someone that didnt upload anything, but either had their computer compromised or had their wireless connection open...

its not that i dont agree with what you are doing, i do...

steve, i posted that already, problem is not piracy, look around, there are sites that are still making money, but problem are your sites that are like ten years old. and, checked top affiliates in affiliate area few weeks back, most money made was about 180 usd in 14 days period? hey man, wake up, nobody is pushing your sites cause whales must make much more in period, so think where the problem is ... :2 cents: do not be mad, think business!

It's not the artists that sued the torrent sites and downloaders, it was the RIAA.

Concerts have NOTHING to do with the suits.

jimmy-3-way 09-27-2010 01:47 PM

God I love this industry.

You are breaking a guy's balls for protecting his content.

What's next?

"Only assholes and tools watermark their member's area content!"

In reference to me?

I mean, if he has money to just piss away on principle, fine. That's up to him, but he should at least know he's going about doing exactly what the RIAA tried doing to people who downloaded music.

Over 3 years the RIAA paid $64m to recoup $1.36m. Doesn't sound too smart to me.

Narrow minded thinkers. The more you speak, the dumber you look. Best to just mind your own business and leave the future of this business to innovators.

Most of them are only small players who don't have stake in anything substantial. Small minds can not comprehend large ideas.

If you don't know the difference between porn and music and the stigma and embarrassment that follows one of them, you should probably find another line of work.

Yeah, innovators following the steps of the RIAA. Real thoughtful people there! Let me know how it works out for you, especially since piracy is at an all-time high even after all the suits and cases.

You honestly think going after the downloaders is going to "shame" them enough for this to turn profitable? You're joking, right?

Yawn. Still thinking in the box are you? This is why the adult industry stopped innovating. What everyone and his mother could get into the business, it was unable to move forward with all the small minds, small potatoes, and dead weight.

Why does it bother all of you so much that someone else is working to protect their business? That within itself is pure comedy and totally pathetic at the same time.

Steve is not breaking new ground here. Just because you don't know about it doesn't mean it's not taking place. It has been going on for a while now in adult and profit is being made, and groundwork is being laid, quietly. Welcome to 2010. Please update your mind.

You are still unable to see what is going on. That's ok. You will later.

epitome 09-27-2010 02:05 PM

This industry is great.

Everybody bitches that enough is not done to protect copyrights and then someone goes and does it and everybody jumps on him.

Ironic. Cue Alanis Morissette.

I'm not faulting him for trying to protect his business.

I'm faulting his logic.

This will not turn out to be profitable for him, or anyone else suing the users. Instead of wasting his time, money, and energy on this he should focus it on leveraging the current market. Just like the music industry did.

For reference, look at Pandora, Grooveshark,

I find it humorous you're claiming I'm thinking in the box, yet you're supporting a failing business model.

I never claimed this is a new idea, in fact I claimed the opposite.

Steve is targeting the users, not the companies. Huge difference.

BSleazy 09-27-2010 02:08 PM

Ya if news of people getting sued for downloading porn illegally gets around, a lot of people will stop. Nobody wants to explain to their family they are getting sued for something like this.

How to make money in porn.

Phase 1: Shoot porn videos.
Phase 2: Make a porn site.
Phase 3: Upload your porn to illegal torrent sites.
Phase 4: Sue everyone that downloads it.
Phase 5: Profit!

Who are the ones going after the users and where is the proof they're turning profit?

moeloubani 09-27-2010 02:17 PM

cant wait to see one of your cases go to court so i can forward these threads to the defending attorney and they can show the judge that you threatened physical harm to people if they didn't settle

good luck loser

Let me get this right, you don't know of something going on and want others to show you proof someone else is turning a profit with a business model you don't even comprehend?

No problem. I'll have their full financial records loaded for you shortly. Is there any other information you would like while I'm gathering this?

If you're going to try to speak facts, provide proof.

I'll be happy to show you relevant cases on IP infringement that bit the plaintiffs in the ass.
