when did porn spoil/turn to boring shit?

i am pretty serious ... i HATE watching porn today! its such boring shit :( back in the late 80s and to mid/end 90s porn used to be a REAL movie with a plot and fun to watch with my spouse ... ok, the girls were not that good lokking, but still, those movies were way more joy than the dumb BANG-BANG today :Oh crap when did porn take the wrong turn? i mean, look at the old classics by ricaud or salierie - those movies were full of porn and yet one cud watch them from beginning to end ... and today? no story, just licking, sucking, fucking, anal and a silly facial (with the guy struggling to even get off by wanking like mad) :disgust ... i HATE todays porn BIG TIME! :helpme

TeenCat 09-26-2010 08:06 PM

sologirlcontent 09-26-2010 08:22 PM

adapt or die

Blingbaby 09-26-2010 08:27 PM

Agreed. Everyone with a camera and a hard on is a fucking porn star these days. Most are ridiculously bad too and the producers wonder why it's not selling.. hardly even worth pirating most of this shit

PornAddict 09-26-2010 08:28 PM

Porn turned to shit when companies (both internet and DVD) decided they had to have 20+ websites/video lines in niches they don't really give a shit about just so they can keep pumping out crap to compete with the others pumping out even more crap.

Agent 488 09-26-2010 08:29 PM

compare ghetto makeover reality tv to archie bunker. part of a larger culture trend. there is reality outside porn.

charlie g 09-26-2010 08:30 PM

Problem is money. Why spend extra cash to develop a plot and scenery when your shit is gonna get ripped and put on every tubesite before you can recoup the costs to make it flick.

I personally miss those 70's and 80's flicks too...but I dont see them coming back anytime soon.

fail! tubes are NEW - but porn turned to boring shit WAY BEFORE those surfaced ... and THAT may be part of the NOT SELLING point :warning

tony286 09-26-2010 08:49 PM

In the 70's they were actually shown in theaters. I think that made a difference. Also back then alot of the actors and actresses were out of work actors,to work with film cameras alot of the crew came from b movies. So they had some level of training. Paul Thomas was in Jesus Christ superstar.

Spunky 09-26-2010 08:57 PM

I always get aroused to a beautiful woman.if I didn't,time to get out or go mainstream

bronco67 09-26-2010 09:00 PM

My favorite period was the early to mid 2000's.

Overload 09-26-2010 09:03 PM

now ... what program has the power to revive those days? pinkvisual has some pretty neat stuff .. but ... only if ppl change their minds and really try old school porn we cud see a difference :/

Also, local community standards was a far big worry too back than it is now - many producers incorporated a plot in to reduce the risk of their work being labeled as obscene.

As with now, many people back then wanted more explicit porn, but it simply was not widely available until the VCR and adult rentals came into being in the 1980s.

Then the internet took it even further with much explicit content being distributed devoid of any plot whatsoever.

That question can be answered a hundred different ways by a hundred different people.

Here are a few for you...

• When porn was taboo and hard to find, it was more exciting.
• When I was in my teens and horny all the time, it was more exciting.
• When there were still niches that were rare or unsaturated, it was more exciting.
• When I watched less porn I was much less jaded by it all, so it was more exciting.

and so on....

Tempest 09-26-2010 10:17 PM

Don't look at any porn for a few weeks.. Then watch some and see if you feel the same way.

alessergod 09-26-2010 10:27 PM

I do have to say it was easier to get a chick to watch with ya before the days of wham bam thank ya maam facial blast.

v4 media 09-27-2010 12:48 AM

The 1970's German farmers daughter ones are the best.. Hardcore Heidi

GatorB 09-27-2010 01:28 AM

Sorry I watched porn in the 80's and 90's and I typically used the fast forward button to get to the sex. Just like 95% of guys. Now Devil in Miss Jones 3 from back in the 80's was some funny shit with that black dude.

Davy 09-27-2010 02:51 AM

Porn is shot by gay people. it has always been that way.
I agree, though, that I would like the plots back.

It started to slide downhill long before then.

Right answer, wrong reason.

Here's the reason but quoting the wrong examples.

Porn went down hill when video publishers started to think the way to get more sales was to put out more titles. It worked for a very short time, then the sales leveled and the video companies saw the solution as putting out even more titles.

The result was budgets to shoot and prices paid for content plummeted. For instance, from getting $25,000 for a title European or US publishers were offering $10,000. So the potential earnings dropped and dropped. You simply can't shoot anything with any imagination, innovation or porn quality for that price.

It all became a treadmill, churning out content with little intrinsic value.

Some companies resisted this urge and have held onto their market much better than those who gave into it.

The Internet continued this trend. PornAddict shows how. Back in the early days we were shooting sets that were worth $3,000 each. Which we still own. And many of the big sponsors were offering $300 for a set and a video. Then amazed we were not jumping for their offer. :1orglaugh

maxxtro 09-27-2010 05:20 AM

Maybe porn is the same but you changed?

GetSCORECash 09-27-2010 05:23 AM

The only reason to do a feature is for your mental sanity, in the end they sell just a bit more then a regular comp with a lot more work.

Features range from 50k$ to 25k$ and some are a bust and it takes them years to break even.

back then it may have been more but these days porn is just wank material. you don't need or even want a plot when you just want to bust a nut to some hardcore shit.

If you just want to bust a nut to any hardcore porn then why buy at all?

People who could jerk off to anything were never our core market.

That is exactly why old porn films had a "plot"

And I'm not sure the majority of people EVER wanted to see bad writing, bad acting, etc. in those films.

Me and all my friends wore out the fast forward button on the VCR to get past that crap.

Porn is a million times more exciting now.

1000 more niches especially. Back then it was a handful of girls and guys doing the same thing over and over. There were no BBW films, tranny films were EXTREMELY rare, interracial was almost as hard to find, double penetration and anal scenes were rare as well.

I much prefer the choices and variety now. And I also much prefer hot sex over forced acting with bad writing.

well, someone saying that has prolly never seen a CLASSY classic porn movie :error

Scott McD 09-27-2010 11:19 AM

The actual sex scenes are better now, but yeah i do like a little "story" to go with it.

Seduction porn is where it's at !!! :2 cents:

BFT3K 09-27-2010 11:55 AM

Often I find a good chocolate cake is WAY better than porn, but that's likely one of my big problems...

A scene doesn't need a plot. But to sell and to keep people coming back it needs a reason to put "the girl on the bed". Otherwise it's all just fucking for no reason and in todays market why buy that. Tubes have it in bucket loads.

No it's not. Because of all the fake acting. How many times do you see a girl really climax and how many times do you see here badly acting and faking it?

Yes this has been the strength of the Internet. Back in the old days it was not profitable to create porn for many niches.

Hot sex always sells. We need to learn how to tell models to produce it or fuck off home.

It's called desensitization and its not just relative to porn. :pimp
