attitues changing in the business..webmaster vs sponsor
when i first got into the business, it seemed that landing any webmaster was a good thing.
Traffic was traffic, and the more you got the better. with the spread of free content to the point that unless you want high quality stuff, you can now find almost anything on the tubes...it has certainly changed the landscape the new breed of sponsor undercut the old group...they cast out 200 million to make 20 million...just throwing numbers out there. now with the industry changing again, it seems sponsors now feel it is a privilege to work with them...some are certainly free to think that...its a free country and all that. however, that now makes them feel like whatever they do is correct...so say someone owes you 6k or so, and just says...fuck you...we aren't paying, because of another circumstance....and in the same breath..says in a couple weeks...we have something else you can push though..lol (they believe this is ok, i seriously think they do) is that the privileged part? the part where they fuck you in the ass, and then want more business...i mean sending them business for years, was a charity act from them i guess...they didnt make a fortune off it or anything.....its a privilege to work with them right? beware who you send your joins to people there is an active under current to show as many people as possible the door it seems these days. |
time for affiliates to get off the high horse. it's a 50/50 road now. like it or not.

Wow something I agree with here! But a lot of aff's want you to give them everything build them everything host everything and collect the money! We have been around for over 8 years and it's always 50% sometimes we even go up to 65% and add trials if asked! We have a lot of good things and mores coming! Just don't make sense anymore the way it has gotten!

It is true that longer existence allows time to separate people into the ones that pay and the ones that don't pay.

revshare sucks balls. makes no sense anymore. the only people rebilling now are people who died and their relatives are keeping their cc alive in a ruse to hide their death and collect their pension payments.
don't feel bad for the program, they are raping the card and personal info in every way to pay for it. |
revshare worked in 2005. it's almost 2011. then 2012 comes and i am out out of this dimension anyways.

Many revshare programs have a $79.95 - $99.95 1 year option. Get a few of these and it adds up quickly. I LOVE those along with the guys who rebill for over a year. What's really awesome are the few who do yearly or quarterly recurring....I love those too. |
We were getting raped by programs in 2000 you are still getting raped, what's changed exactly??
|
I'm still collecting CCBill checks right on time every time, and I haven't even had a site live in in probably a solid 5 months. Probably been around ayear and a half at least since I even actively promoted anything adult beyond that. Can't argue the revshare model in my mind. If someone is willing to pay for the first month, and you're promoting a product with value, they will be willing to signup a second month. Go with revshare.

Sitting on the side lines and observing this is what I saw.
In the beginning it was a mad rush to get any affiliate to throw up galleries, links or anything else. If he sent 1 sign up a month or 1 a day it was all good. If he sent 50 a day he commanded his price. Everyone believed; The more free content on the Net = the more sign ups there to be got. The cost was high and the direction it took the Adult Net was not customer friendly. Pop ups, trading, scamming to pay for traffic, sites full of crap content (even if it was exclusive) led to customer dis satisfaction. The only thing holding it together was the lack of options the customer had. Then Tubes blew the whole thing out of the water. They showed traffic was the easiest thing in the world to get. Within a couple of years they went from very little to millions of hits per day. And sign ups went the other way. All without spending a fortune to get traffic. Traffic doesn't - sign ups!!!! It suddenly became obvious the more free content given out the less sign ups got. It only worked if you could keep ahead in the sign ups race and that was tough and expensive. Now it's prohibitive in cost to try to stay on top. The Tubes do it for peanuts. The adult Net has to change. Customers have to be God, King and Queen to keep them. Sites HAVE to compete with Tubes. It's no good throwing up another site full of content that's the same as 100 other sites, even if it is exclusive it's still the same old stuff. And it's to be found in bucket loads for free. The reason why few customers retain today is so fucking obvious it's a joke. The content isn't fucking good enough to keep him for another month. Who expects a member to stay to see more of the same cheap content that's already on the site? No matter how much you add, if just with another girl going through the same motions as the girls already on the site, would you stay? All sites have suffered because of Tubes, the ones giving their members a bit more have suffered less and those giving the customer a lot more have suffered less still. And by a bit more I don't mean numbers. |
paul we can't go back to vhs tapes and mags in plastic bags. move on dude.

Name names..........

You have some value points. We value our affiliates and work with them to make the mist out of heir traffic. I will say that of every 10 affiliates that submit an application to join our program we only approve 1.
I would love to approve more however most just don't reply to the email we send out asking fir additional information. |

Back in the days of VHS tapes and Mags in plastic covers, we didn't give away the shop to scrape a sale. The Internet invented that. :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |
This industry has changed. Ten years ago any affiliate was a good affiliate who would send tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of hits a day - and a fair number of joins daily. These days good affiliates are hard to come by.
Sponsors aren't much better. The entry barrier couldn't be any lower; Anyone with a few thousand bucks can open up a website and a program. |
I am very careful who I send traffic to these days but the places I do have been great to work with as usual
