Yup, I called Sherk for the win, and he had a strong 1st round. but I would have gave the 2nd and 3rd rounds to Dunham personally. Was a close fight ether way. Good show. There's been way worse robberies than that.

I gave 1st to sherk and 2nd to sherk barely, but said that round could go either way.. Obviously 3rd wasn't his.

haha I don't bet on every fight. I had a great day in college football as well. Lots of awesome games today. I'm hoping tomorrow goes just as well as today with the NFL :thumbsup

It has become extremely formulaic. They use the same script every time. Notice that same kind of spooky/creepy background music soon as Rogan and Goldberg begin to talk of the first fight. I mean it is almost like a scripted play.

Then they spend half the time pitching the next card while a particular fight is going on cause its BORING.

Hey guys, this costs $40, :1orglaugh (what a rip off) talk about THIS fight.
It's way more like professional wrestling than pro boxing. Pro boxing was at least pretty straight up. Lots of hype and bullshit with mma. The fights are real but all that surrounds them comes off as hype. I do think Joe Rogan is fun to listen to tho.

The last fight with Couture against the boxer. That was a joke. The whole shabang comes off as hype and phoney balogne.

Also, at least with boxing either someone gets KO'd or it goes the distance. At least then you know you will get something for your money.

With UFC a heel hook or quick choke and its over. Plus in a good matched fight they usually dance for the first round till the boos start.

Its all getting more and more lame as time goes on.

And also, this card tonight is a total joke. The 2 main events are hardly worth $40 to the ave Joe.

And Bruce Buffer Watch him in the background as the fighters walk in and get to the ring. He is like doing stretches and jaw exercises. OK he is good. But he is a bit over the top. But that's ok. Best part of the fights is Buffer announcing. Great hype.

I did a parlay bet on bader and mir, so far so good.

Mir vs Cro Cop, boringest fight ever, ended with the lamest knockout ever...

Glad I streamed this event for free... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...

Only highlight of the night for me was going 4 for 5 on my predictions, lol...

And also you know the fans in the SAME opening shot (along the rail at the beginning) fight after fight are told ahead of time to whoop it up cause the camera will be coming through. Always a good looking chick in there which is good but it is too scripted.

Must we always start the production the same way.

The fighters, the fights, Buffer, Rogan and Goldberg all all fabulous. And it is great entertainment.

But there are a few annoying production areas (mainly brought on by apparently cheap management) that could be improved but overall one of the best things on TV IF it was free. For $40 it is the biggest rip off ever on PPV. $19.95 tops.

Example.. the ring girls.. they are looking great.. here's an idea.. how about breaking the script and go over and talk to them in between a fight ONE time. No. You know why? Production time costs money. It is designed to be as short as possible while still getting in the needed hype and pitches. Always time for them.

I guess that is TV media tho in all it's lame forms.

i'm shivering in my fucking boots

A month of HSOD for $30 or 2-3 hours of iffy "fights" and or "dances" for $40. It is way over priced hence the need for very heavy hype.

But OK, whatever, I'll still watch every fight and I am still a fan.

But no hokey fights and dont take us for suckers. I know the average Joe needs to be hyped but it is annoying.

Oh wait then it would not be a money making TV biz.

Ok I understand now. Every TV watcher must eat a little bullshit. :)

I havnet watched a TV commercial or the the highly bs filled "news" in many years so I may be a bit more sensitive than some to highly commercial productions that wreak of insincerity and hype and are designed for one thing.. to make as much money as possible.

I got spoiled by Pride, I used to watch every UFC and Pride ppv, now I basically wait for UFC to put on Pride level cards, which means I almost never buy ppvs anymore.

Anyways, made a nice chunk of change today on the mir bader parlay.

Actually I'm just cranky cause signups tanked since the 20th.

Fantastic up until the 20th tho and noone else is bitchin so I am prob just ebbing.

I guess if I aint making money I'm PO'd at anyone who is. lol :)
