Awesome? Do you think this country is some kind of joke? Our tax payer money is spent on his fucking rich ass sitting there acting like he has a clue about a subject he has no fucking idea about. Him and Stewart are WAY over their heads with these stunts.

Real? Dude it WAS real, he WAS testifying before congress, it wasnt some kind of fake joke he was invited to a very serious hearing about illegal immigrants working in the United States.

A single congressional hearing can cost upwards of 100k. He had seven capitol police assigned to him. So this is what its come to? You actually defend this kind of crap in our governmental system? It would be different if he were say a former illegal immigrant or actually worked on a farm for more than one photo shoot. He made a mockery of that hearing even some Democrats were cringing and asking him to leave. Other celebrity "experts" before him have NEVER made gay slur jokes, he even used a lot of racist overtones. He was quite simply disgusting and he knew he was way out of his league.

I personally find both Colbert and Stewart to be hilarious. My son also loves Elmo. I personally think Heidi Klum is hot. Doesnt mean I think any of them need to speak before congress. It was always my understanding that congress was to be taken seriously and they are dealing with serious issues. My point was it's not a Democrat or Repulican issue, they both are guilty of it.

Stephen Colbert is AWESOME.

He was not the only speaker, and he only spoke for 7 minutes. His flight, Hotel, Food and all other expenses were his. You watch too much of Greta on Fox News. She misreported this event the same way you are by suggesting that it costs Taxpayers $100,000 for his 7 minutes. This is not true.

To protect him from whackjobs who walk around with blinders on I'm sure. Agree with him or not, he has a right to say what he wants. Just like that idiot pastor in Florida who was going to burn the Qur'ans, he too had protection assigned to him. Outspoken speech is sure to upset the passionate and maybe push some over the edge.

The members only laughed when Colbert made a sarcastic reference to Congress working for the people. I got a cold shivers when I heard that laugh.

It was good, but nothing will beat his speech at Bush's White House Dinner.
