Can you please share your experience?

troncarver 09-24-2010 10:02 AM

i think it is the most powerful drug on the market these days, no wonder it is only dispensed in the US

jesse_adultdatingdollars 09-24-2010 10:11 AM

ive taken it a few times when drinking heavy. fun drug :)

moeloubani 09-24-2010 10:11 AM

If you're losing your focus then exercise, and every day when you feel overwhelmed or like you can't focus just sit for 5 minutes and just focus on your breathing. In then out slow and steady and just keep thinking about your breathing and you'll be able to find that focus again. Don't drift from thinking of breathing!!

JustDaveXxx 09-24-2010 10:31 AM

If you got "ADD" it works really well in small dosages.

If you need it and take it, you will get an incredible amount of work done.

If you take it and dont need it, it can make you seriously paranoid.

If you need it and take too much you will be stuck on concentrating on what ever it is you are currently doing.

Example: i took a bit too much one time and was editing all day, took a break to shop for alarm clocks on Amazon. Was stuck on the site 7 hours and went through 3000+ pages of alarm clocks. Could not stop till i got to the end.

Was so focused on finding that alarm right alarm clock, that nothing else mattered. After that day i kept my dosage way, way, down and only on occasions when i needed to get a lot of shit done.

I do have a prescription and was under the care of a Dr. I heavily recommend be under the supervision of a doctor until you get your dosages worked out. This is some very serious shit, that should be respected.

Slutboat 09-24-2010 10:33 AM

Its just legal meth - I knew a porn chick that would call me up and make me come over and fuck her for 3 days straight while she snorted the shit.

CamJack 09-24-2010 10:41 AM

Great for real webmasters. I could cut paste submit for 18 hrs and not be bored. Focused, very focused. You can chew them when drinking and continue drinking for another 10hrs. I wouldn't recommend snorting them, although people swear by it. I say hoop a handful and call me in the morning. I think 80% of college kids are on these, watched a show on it, maybe Dateline and it completely SOLD me on them, instead of talking me out of it.

Sarah Silverman hoops them:

Its a funny story, but very true. To put things into prospective, the alarm clock hunt was done after 8 hours of editing footage.

A few days later i bought a Bose radio alarm clock.

I'm not a college student or professional baseball player, so I haven't tried it yet...

JustDaveXxx,
Thank you for sharing that.

If you don't mind, what is your personal dosage amount to get things done but not have you looking at clocks all day?

campimp 09-24-2010 11:28 AM

i took it for a couple years. It worked wonders for my focus, i was able to focus at work for 8 to 10 hours straight, and then go home and work on sites for 4 or 5 hours without ever looking at my watch, or staring out the window at work wanting to leave.

before taking it, i would start to lose focus around 10.30 in the morning... not get shit done until lunch, after lunch i was good for a few hours, but by 3 or 330 i started glancing at the clock on the wall, and would do that every 10 or 15 minutes and wonder why time was going so slow.

after taking adderall my work life was amazing, and i was the best employee i had ever been... and that was the good part.

the bad part slowly built and built until i had to get off the drug all together

yes, it is addictive and i started taking more than i should have, and eventually got to where i was typically taking more than i should in a day, and sometimes even crushing up a pill to make sure i got the "most" out of it

i got to where i was only sleeping about 4 hours a day, which is ok once in a while, but pull that shit for 6 or 7 months straight and you will start to notice some problems.

if you want to lose some weight, its awesome. i went from 190 to 150 in the matter of about 12 months.. you just will not want to eat on the drug

basically... if you can use it in moderation it will be good thing, but if you have any sort of addictive personality you want to be careful, and for god sake be sure that you force yourself to eat as much as possible, and never take it at night

and while that all may sound a bit drastic, and im sure that a lot of people can handle it effectively, if you search online you will find that people with my experience far outweigh people that have normal experiences on it

i havent eaten a pill in about 6 years, but i still find myself thinking about it, and occassionally considering to just order some online, but i have not. that shit can be evil if you let it, but if you have control over it, it will help you

just be careful

DateDoc 09-24-2010 11:30 AM

I do not take it but there are many days when I should. I'll have to go visit the doctor to get a prescription.

I agree 100% - but i kinda want to find something more natural to take. I'm not a fan of pharmaceuticals

A lot of the so called natural products are not regulated, not tested and we do not really know the long term affects of taking them. There is plenty of stuff in nature; plants, herbs, etc. that are poisonous.

Amphetamine is a hardcore stimulant but long use may decrease the level of neurotransmitters flow for good... so no, thanks. :)

10mg is plenty if you've never done it before. It will last about 6 hours.

The thing to keep in mind about stimulants like Adderall is that you build a tolerance to them rather quickly. So if you're popping them everyday, you'll need more and more to get the same end result. This is why people that actually take them daily tend to have to increase their dose to 40-80mg just to get by.

Also keep in mind, that you will be tired when you stop. If you're using it for a couple of days, expect the following day off to be a slow day. If you're using large doses for a long period of time, withdrawal symptoms can last a couple of weeks (fatigue).

Don't take too much caffeine with it unless you want a strange "overstimulated," zombie like feeling.

I use it at most, two times a week but ONLY when I have a list of things to do already written in front of me. I can't stress that enough. If you're going to use them to increase productivity, have a to-do list ready otherwise you might end up wasting your day focused on something completely unrelated.

Yeah, most psychiatrists prescribe it rather easily if you have add/adhd symptoms and ask to try it to see if it can help you.

Some general practitioners do as well, but most will refer you to a psych.

selena 09-24-2010 01:08 PM

I have a script for it.

I have not been taking it for a few months, as I wanted to see what things would be like without it. As someone else mentioned, it was necessary for me to be very careful about what I got focused on.

It was doing wonders for me in terms of being able to focus. I was taking 40mg a day. I cannot stress enough that I had to be sure to take it very early, or it would seriously fuck with my sleep routine, and I struggle enough with that as is.

It did sort of kill my appetite, but I would set my meditation timer so that I knew that I had to break to eat whether I was hungry or not.

If a person truly has ADD/ADHD, Adderall can be a very good, very effective drug. I compare it to when I put on my glasses/contacts, and my vision clears up. When I take Adderall, my brain vision focuses.

Hit everything i was gonna say. 2 times a week, 3 max no more than 10mg per day and you will be fine.

I had a daily prescription and opted for a few times a week. Found my balance and it works for me.

Curious of this Adderall as well. A friend said not to try.

lol... I don't think it could be prescribed for something like this... it's probably prescribed only for serious health problems like ADHD.

I went to the DR the other day and tried to get it but they put me on Concerta. I've been on it for a few days now and i dont think its really helping me. She put me on the smallest dose tho so maybe when she ups the dose it will work better.

From what I've been reading, it's a mixed bag with Concerta & Vyvanse - most seem to either hate or love it. Seems like Adderall works the best.

FWIW: I have spoken to people who have a prescription for it and the "focus" reason is EXACTLY what they said to their doctor.

I've tried both Adderall and Vyvanse. They both work close to the same. Some people want Adderall (not Adderall XR) because they can get the immediate kick from a larger dose.

Vyvanse is activated / absorbed more slowly, via digestion. It doesn't begin working until about 60 minutes after you take it. This was one of the selling points of the product - that it can't be abused like Adderall can. You can snort it, shoot it, and won't feel more than a placebo effect.

Plus the patent on Adderall expired (which means generics can be made now), so Vyvanse is being pushed as the next big thing.

Never tried Concerta, but as far as I know it doesn't contain amphetamines.

Slutboat 09-24-2010 05:54 PM

shoot a lot of models on a daily basis and you can't help but take a lot of high resolution pictures up a lot of nostrils...

I'm seeing as much pink now as white up girls noses.

Sharky 09-24-2010 06:08 PM

I've been contemplating going to the Dr for ADD for a long time. I know I have focus problems, and have been told by a LMHC (my uncle) That I fit the bill for ADD diagnosis. I don't like medication, so I have resisted. The more work I take on, the more I realize how productive I could be vs where I am now.

Focusing for 8hrs straight on something would be awesome!

If you have a good work ethic and you have problems being productive due to ADD, this drug is for you.

Just keep in mind, just like anything that gets abused, drugs, cigarettes, alcohol, tweenkies, etc., this can really get you if you dont respect it.

epitome 09-24-2010 06:53 PM

If you are truly ADD as I am, it will make you feel like a zombie.

If you aren't it will get you high and if you keep taking it you will become an addict.

Not fun either way.

james_clickmemedia 09-24-2010 07:19 PM

girls take it for weight loss.

It must depend on the person, because both my son and I have been diagnosed with it, and it doesn't affect either of us with a zombie feeling.

I'm sorry that it makes you feel zombified. I hope you have found something that works for you. :)

Like Sharky I too feel like I need it. I was diagnosed 15 years ago for ADHD but refused medication.

Yeah, I hate taking medication. I have a medicine cabinet full of pills I have been prescribed and never took. However, I think its worth a shot to see if it could improve my productivity and ultimately my income.

fatfoo 09-25-2010 06:53 PM

People with ADD can be genius people. The focus of what you are doing will change throughout life. You may start doing one thing and then change focus to doing another thing. It's just that your changes of focus have to make sense. In the ideal situation, you can multi task all your activities. In the worst case scenario, you juggle too many balls and all balls fall to the ground.

I have a RX for ritalin and take it several times a week, but the psych says i should take it every day to further regulate my sleep schedule. It's amazing how much its done for me and its less hardcore than Adderall. When I do get 10mg adderall I usually split it in half.

Zuzana Designs 09-25-2010 09:14 PM

No "drugs" are bad. Mind over matter is what I use. Control yourself with exercise and meditation. If you believe and trust in yourself you can accomplish anything. When it's 5pm have a couple glasses of wine. Never before 5pm unless it's a holiday or special occasion. This will help keep you focused.

PornAffiliate 09-25-2010 09:37 PM
