In 91' I was in a bad car accident, shattered my ankle and broke my leg in 3 places ( I totaled a 1972 Chevy Impala). I had a cast on for 6 months so I was let go from my job. I was an assistant manager for a clothing store. My mom insisted that she take me down and I would get some kind of help, the lady strait out told me you're not a minority and you have no kids so you get NOTHING!


Then in 96' I was an assistant manager of a convince store and got robed, had to go out on Workman's Comp then again one of my friends said the same thing, we'll get you some help as it took over 2 months for me to get any $$....LMFAO and you'll never guess what I was told AGAIN! Not a minority and no kids.


Now the 3rd times a charm right? LMFAO Not..... last year my house caught fire one week before Christmas one again everyone pushed me to go and try to get some help as I was self employed then and you know what kind of help I got? NADA not even at X-mass. Thank god I have a great family and friends or thing's would have been worse.


So please don't think just anyone can get help because they can't!

Obama free health care is not about providing health care to people who can't afford it. Most states already had programs... CA has Medi-Cal - which if you are actually broke - you qualify for. The also have a 'Healthy Families' program that lets you get low cost provider based (Health Net) insurance at a reduced rate ($70/month for 5 kids). As long as you earn less than like $40k - you qualified.

A very large percentage of the 30 million un-insurred number is revolving. They included people who left one job for another and were without insurance for 30, 60 or 90 days. The entire 'Obama Care' plan is not about fixing the health care industry... is the first step to a 'single payer' system.
