Have you learned your lessons from Epassporte?

And from now on are you gonna do the basic stuff like open an account at a real bank in your country and keep your money there?

Are you gonna start paying yourself first by setting aside a percentage of everything you make for a rainy day?

And are you gonna start paying taxes? Yes, I ask this because seems the only reason most people (aside from program owners) kept a ton of cash on epass was to avoid paying taxes.

Keeping your entire life savings on a e-money system for 'ease of use' is just retarded.

I learned my lessons years ago.
I went to the atm like almost every day.
I am happy I did.

Epassporte was not just being used for tax reasons btw. A wire or a cheque costs like $40 to cash in most places of europe. So I used epassporte for my smaller sponsors.

Nothing wrong with using epassporte like you did, going to the ATM almost every day. If you then deposited the cash on your bank or kept it under the mattress, that's your problem. I was talking about affiliates who kept anywhere from $X,XXX to $XXX,XXX in epass, and $0 at the bank (if they even had a bank account). It's almost as if they were afraid to get the money out of epass for some reason.

Strange post, epassporte filled a void within the adult industry for easy quick payments between business partners, I know personally I had to fax my identification and other information to them to get an account there, if the governments of the world wanted to get that information from epassporte at any time Im certain they could have otherwise Im not sure why they took my documents.

I lost a grand total of 200 dollars(big freaking deal) BUT I just removed the links and relationships with about 10 companies I did business with because I paid them or they paid me via epassporte.

OneWhoKnows 09-24-2010 06:18 AM

Didn't lose a lot because all money was in my wallet and I don't keep large sums in my epass account.

And yes, I will use payment services like epass again, as checks and wires are still no alternative if you get paid small sums by loads of different affiliate programs and live in Europe. Fees of 20 EUR or more per check/wire would completely ruin my business or I'd have to wait ages for my money when I set high minimums.

Easy to receive payment and thats it.... after that people should had take the money out and thats it... I laugh at people that used it like a bank account.... It was a no brainer to figure that a bank account was much safer than a epass account.

But like cambaby said the governement always had access to epassporte I know a guy that got his account seized thru a TRO by the FTC. So now that all spotlight are on epass I guess that the IRS will have an eyes on this....

I wonder how many big (and small) guys over here dont want make a lawsuit againt epass because they didnt declared the $$$.
