I worked at a company, we hadn't had a damn clue what the bosses were doing. One day we came in work as normal, then had a staff meeting and everyone was fired in the afternoon. Just like that, talk about job security!

I had one of those, and then my entire I.T. Consultant group was axed that Friday.

I'd like to make a correction. Every other Friday is Hawaiian shirt Friday. These things are important.

Seems to be business as usual, they had a company party yesterday to celebrate their new bonuses.

God, this thread just brings back memories of the one and only day job I had, total office job. The team I had worked on most of the time I was there included the leader who got drunk all the time who stole money at a "birthday party" poker game at his house and talked shit behind my back while calling me a friend, health freak 40s bitch who couldn't stop talking about her new "hunk", 60s "not gonna be bothered to learn shit" woman (FWIW, the 40s woman was the same way...both wasting away in an office job for the rest of their work lives), at one point a big young black chick who had like 3 or 4 kids who I stupidly loaned money to once only to never get it back before she got fired, a 30s Filipina woman who apparently wasn't getting any at home and kept blatantly flirting with me even though I disliked her (just wasn't hot and was really fucked in the head). Boss's boss was a total frat boy full-of-himself type, then the VPs...one was actually my favorite person there, really cool woman who was one of the few there who actually cared about clients, but was a druggie and unfortunately died the year after I left (RIP) and the other was never there - just fucking golfed all the time and eventually got fired. And then the president who made an appearance maybe once every 2 months, total chauvinist ham, little old rich guy and also a druggie...

Yea, glad I fucking work at home now...jesus. I will take very little contact with people throughout my week vs. that shit and 1+ hour commute 5 days a week.
