I think nobody remember , .. but if you ask epassporte their always have all statement in pdf files... so for now if you log into your account you will not be able to see any of your Virtual visa Transaction. ..why ? their said WE CANNOT CONNECT TO ST-KITTS BANK ... FUCKING BULLSHIT THEY ALREADY HAVE ALL THE DATA.

I am a 100% sure their are in the epassporte database because epassporte make pdf file like this one ..every single month...

So this is a old one .. but if you remember virtuel visa was shut down the 3 of september and the cron for the pdf have already been make. So why they dont gave us statement ? their just erase evidence ???...

Also if you look the cgi file https://www.epassporte.com/secure/statement.cgi .. that make NO QUERY at all to any other server !!

I've often thought that GFYers discount (or ridicule) things said by people with broken english who might otherwise be very knowledgeable webmasters.

Well, that is an obvious thought, but without knowing how exactly their system works you cannot say they are lying. There are at least 2 other possibilities:

1. They were downloading those statement from the bank on-the-fly all the time and never made copies of that into their databases. Which would be rather stupid, but possible.
2. They do have that information somewhere in a backup database, but the site is configured to work with St.Kitts interface and it's not that easy to change the way it works. This is quite plausible, actually. If this happened suddenly you can't just write couple of code strings to change a work of such a big and supposedly secure system. Trust me, every change in code of such system as Epass has to be tested for fool-proof, hack-proof, etc.

As new information arrives, the chances change. I said before that there is a good chance they will recover, but over time that chance diminishes. Now I say Epass will be probably totally dead in one week. Including money on wallets, not only VV. There is still a chance they will return money from the wallets. But it's not big and is getting lower every day.

I will also add the truth will never be told, just like the truth about him being fired from Paycom. I think the other parties involed are to blame just as well for simply not telling the truth due to ethics and so letting the wrong doings of people like him continue

This is simple. When programmers wrote their system they did not foresee such a situation. Probably it tries to connect with the bank, gets no response and shows the default message about "maintenance" because maintenance is supposed to be the only situation when the data are not available.

Since it happened suddenly they can't change the code rapidly. Probably there are not even any programmers at the moment.

I'm not defending Epass here, just explaining how this could happen from a programmer's point of view.

I also believe that everyone involved knew what was going on due to the fact NO wires were sent out since this begun even if they repeated they were. What people received were ACHs and CC withdrawls and reported them as wires

I am thinking same thing and the same for the statement, I have contacted Tech to see if if its possible to bring back the page where statements could be generated but I do not know where the data is stored.

I sent an internal message to Epassporte a few days ago requesting my account have the Visa Card option removed before the next card replacement billing cycle.

No reply as yet.

Just wondering if anyone at Epassporte has thought to switch off the $35 Yearly Card Re-issue fee billing yet since we can't use cards.

I can't see any option to opt out of new cards once we ask for one ?.

When the Shit hit the fan at the beginning of September, I was afraid I would lose my statements if epass did go under.

So I immediately went and saved my pdf statement for the past 5 years, however I did not look at it until today when I noticed they were no longer available.

When I checked it out today I noticed that something was odd about it. The last transaction date on the statement was May 6th, even though i had set it to report: "Statement Date : 01 Jan 2005 to 01 Sep 2010"

But I had hundreds of transactions from May 6th to September 1st that are not on the statement I generated...

That's just bizarre.. Why would the rest of May, all of June, July, and August be missing from the statement???

i got full statement 2 weeks ago.... also generated.

I need to add... 3 days after the problem, I tried to check a payment from a sponsor to know if it was paid or not. I noticed that my ENTIRE balance was modified! I didnt find at least 90% of my "credits and payments". Only all spends and withdrawals from ATMs and p2p fees. You have no idea about programming.

You are not looking the cgi file, you are looking the execution results of the cgi file, an html document generated by the cgi program, you don't know if the cgi program queries or not other servers, you only see that the html doesn't contain links to other server.

A cgi program can connect to other server to retrieve any information, if it can't connect, there is a certain time until it stops trying to connect, that's called a 'timeout'.

For me it's completely plausible that some other server stops answering that cgi program, and the cgi program doesn't finish it's execution until the timeout happens, after that, an error message is displayed.

-Page loaded slow yesterday (that's a typical timeout)
-And gave an error message.

For me it seems fine, SKNA closed the connection, script gets timeout when connecting, delays execution and data can be delivered.

Sounds it ok?

It's possible that they're not allowed to cache or copy the data... either for legal reasons, or for consistency reasons (two copies stored at two separate entities could cause problems if one becomes corrupt)
