They are trying to track a group and they annonce they will hire this guy, im sure now he will work great undercover

They've given deals to sleazier people ...

the government has been hiring "hackers" for years.

Hell.. they got some damned good hackers already! One I know of is "playing" games with... well a "nameless" organization right now that we all kinda loath :)

Damn! Sounds like this guy could imprison a lot of people. Would suck to be an associate of his....Sorta like a mafia kingpin ratting on everyone else below him. Like Hustlin and Webby said, they have been hiring hackers for years. But it usually doesn't make it public.

They shouldn't have shit on Kevin Mitnick, and hired him too. Although I hear Mitnick is into adult stuff, which would pay him way more then the gov't could afford. :2 cents:
