I am shooting a girl/girl scene next weekend with two 21 year olds. They are Busty BBW's and the scene is basically making out and breast worship (tit sucking). I am compensating 500 bucks. 250 a piece. They have no reps, they are amateurs and it is their first time. I like to think that 1/2 a grand compensation for softcore is fair and industry standard. Am I high, low or just right with this price in your opinions.

If they said OK to the price, then it's OK. They can always choose to say no should it be too cheap.

An "industry standard" is relative to where you are and who the models are. I shoot in Thailand for example, you think I should pay "industry standards" here? Of course not. You pay what you pay and they can take it or leave it. If you want to be flexible with your rate, that is totally up to you, but whatever they agree to, is fair. I once shot a girl here for about $12 (yes, you read that right) and she was so happy to get that money, you'd think she won the lottery. Ah, the good old days. Then all the dick heads came here and jacked up the rates, now some whores want the same as LA porn chicks. lol

Models set their own prices, really. Even if they don't have an agent they know in their head what they're wanting to get paid for what you need them to do.

Depending on how long the shoot is and how involved that's not a bad fee.

If it's too low, they'll tell you.

Business is business. Get away with paying as less as possible and get as much as possible in return. Industry rates in 2010 are bullshit. If the model wont do the job for the fee set out just move on. Models are begging for work at the moment.

It's already been answered but from myself also... $250 is a fair price either way...

In the UK, you can get a girl for softcore film & photos for about £150 an hour, Boy girl for about £200/ £250... Its about the same price ;)

Softcore: $50 to $150 p/hour p/model.

Do NOT pay p/scene for softcore!

For $250 each you should be scheduling maybe a 2 or 3 hour shoot. For what you are describing, you can easily shoot 2 to 3 scenes within that time.
