I spent all day in jury duty today, just sitting in the gallery for my name to called, but it never happened and was over about 430 pm.

Today I see the Don't Ask Don't Tell got shot down, Some have voiced it's against the constitution, these people were clearly never in the military, the military is governed by the Uniform Code of Military justice.

I want gays to be in the military, why shouldn't they be? I merely stated that the UCMJ and constitution in this matter are at odds, the constitution is for civilians. Just like if you're in uniform, you can't protest anything. Those servicemen that protested don't ask don't tell at the white house, I hope they got thrown in the brig for article 88 of the UCMJ

UCMJ does adhere to the Constitution. Where and how do you think that the UCMJ does not?

The UCMJ was enacted by Congress in 1950. When you join the military, you agree to follow it's rules

it could... that is, if all the tax money was squandered away on bullshit and subsidizing failing multinationals and other bullshit. if all they're going to do is take your tax money and top off the bank accounts of big corporations, or to pay for wars waged in the name of them, well ya, might as well lower taxes. not like the most of that money is going towards health care or educating the youth or anything...

I said this on another board, and I will say it here. For me, having served 'mother green and her killing machine', I don't care one itty bitty titty bit about if the fine men and women fighting and dying with me are gay or not. I can assure you, the color of their blood in the mud will be no different than mine.

However, that said, that is conditioned upon the behavior of those fine men and women. They better be every bit as bad ass, sic and crazy bastards as I am, or I don't want them on the line next to me.... GAY or STRAIGHT!

its funny with chinese building iphones for 30 cents an hour those jobs aint coming back .I dont care if they make it negative tax. And big business is doing fine, the smaller staffs they have left are scared shitless and working three times as hard for the same salary.

I really think they belong in the military, but have to hold to the same conduct as everyone else. Let them go thru the rigors of war, let them find out what life is like in a metal can 1000ft under the sea with those that will not give different treatment.
