tgfind.com - paid TGP ?
 

Hi,
I've just found a site called tgfind.com.
It seems like it is a site, that uses galleries found on different TGP's and charges the users $19.95 per month for the access to the galleries... Do you think it's a good business model ?

( honestly I spend only 2 minutes on it, so perhaps I am missing something, but I simply never saw a TGP with a monthly subscription and that's why I posted it here )

I think it COULD be a good model and I have some freaking Ideal brewing for all of you. Will post when I find out more.

Funny thing is that the hits it sends most likely convert better than the ones from normal tgps.

From the point of view of our industry, it is good news that someone is trying this business model, but can it really work, since there are hundreds of other free tgp's ?
If it would work, The Hun would be already charging his surfers...

Imagine if all the big tgp players would start billing the same day.

Yes it would drive lots of traffic to the small ones I'm sure but they probably couldn't pay the hosting fees from that traffic.

Would be a whole new world for tgp submitters.

i think it would be better if it was like 20 bux a year. who's gonna pay 20 bux then another 20-40 on top of that for a paysite? there would be some, but retention would be better if they weren't paying 20 bux a month for the tgp.

Hell as long as you make them pay something. At least then you're qualifying the traffic. Great way to weed out the freeloaders.

This Idea of a Paid tgp has been discussed many times before. It will never work unless ALL tgp's did it. What moron is going to pay to see gallery listings when they can get a zillion for free from other places???

I'm not out searching for porn all day but I would much rather pay to visit a well laid out easy to navigate paid TGP than deal with the crap galleries, slow loads, and other bull that comes with the free ones. $20 a month is shit to some people. Every online business I have been involved with has its share of people that WILL pay for what they like. Why would somebody pay to get in a paid website at all? You can find any of it for free if you want to.
