While everbody is focused on ePassporte problem, I'm curious if there are any news about Webmasterchecks frozen funds.

They are no longer replies emails

It looks like we can forget about our money ?

they are still around?

The general rule is that if you don't get your money in 30 days write it off and don't count on ever receiving it. It's correct most of the time.

I heard a while back they were still issuing checks for a few companies on the down low.

It would be nice for them to at least update 'clients' as they promised if they are still operating.

As far as I know, they went out of business.

Anyone else have some update? still have a few checks from them....

They owe us around $7k however there is not much we can do, even if we sue them it will cost an absolute min. of $10k retainer plus for us they are out of state so we would probably have to hire an attorney in their state. Once you throw in the governments involvement it just does not make sense for us to take that route.

I had some frozen money from them, so I recently contacted them and asked which sponsor issued which check. They were nice enough to tell me and then I was able to collect the money by contacting the sponsor.

i can't believe companies can get away with this. if its too costly to sue them, at least call the cops and try and get them arrested.

I'm shocked with that too. I thought that they can't escape with our money if they are US based company. And they owe money to people from US.

But looks like they can. Or maybe big US programs get their money. And all other programs were fucked.

me too. delivered from other bank acc of theirs. cleared, months after shit hit the fan. new, differently looking check as well.

I have just talked to Chrissy from Webmasterchecks via Skype. She gave me an update.
They are still waiting for the government to finish up their part.

She also gave me contact of their attorney, who will be handling the distribution of all frozen funds.

I have just received a check from a sponsor issued by Webmasterchecks. I am not quite in the picture, is this check then safe to cash or what?

WebmasterChecks is a very different situation. Nobody there ran off with anything, there was a government action that requires a mountain of red-tape to be processed.

I am still of the belief that they will actually be back in action sooner rather than later - and stronger than ever. :2 cents:

I work with WebmasterChecks, sending all my payments through them. It works perfectly for me. It´s great to work with Chrissy.

I was baffled to find a Webmaster Checks check in my mailbox this week from one of my sponsors that had always paid me via epassporte. The check cleared fine with my bank and was over 1k. I thought it was very odd considering what went down.

Which sponsor sent it?

On Sept. 21st got the following :

HI, thanks for the email. While I can?t give you a specific date I can tell you we are getting very close. In fact we?ve been instructed at this point to send clients over to our attorney, who will be handling the distribution of funds. Please feel free to contact him, Matt Collins: [email protected]. Not sure I want to call them out since it seems they have only continued to work with specific companies on the down low. This sponsor has paid me like clockwork for years, would hate for that to stop. :2 cents:

same happened here, just got 2 checks from them

wow, if this is true, they are on the short-list of payment companies that have paid their clients back, i can only think of epoch and webmasterchecks

I had a very funny reply from their lawyer about frozen funds payout. i just need to confirm this and i will share with you all if this is 100% case.
