Has anybody had any positives from having their website "brand" on twitter? and updating regularly?

Is there anything I should watch out for?

Never bothered personally but may try it out.

Not personally, but I hate the thing. I have heard that a lot of sites and solo girls have numerous followers. Whether that translates into sales for them is beyond my realm of knowledge.

We were not going to bother but felt we needed to after some trolls began some twitter profiles in our names.
We do collect a lot of traffic through our twitter, however, we keep it as clean chat as possible, even something about the weather :)

yes I think for a program it would be useless...but for the girls it's a great way for the fans to see what we do on a daily basis and not when we are on set!! I think it may get me some more sales sometimes but no way to track it

It's good, but you end up getting followed by more pirates than actual people who will buy your stuff. I give out a lot of BS information on twitter to see where it ends up and sure enough it's always on the pirate forums. Followers don't equal money. Especially in porn. I mean, if you're a Kardashian, and get paid 10 cents a tweet, then ya.
I laugh at how silly these these girls are giving away the information on a scene that has yet to be released, and there is already a request thread for it before it's even out.
Take Jayla Starr for example. Beautiful girl, quite smart, tons of followers. I think around 40k. Ask her if she has 40k members to her paysite. But I can show you over 300 places where each of her scenes have over 40k downloads :)
Twitter is an easy way to shoot yourself in the foot. So, if you keep that in mind, talk erroneously, and you will get a follower base without giving away the things you need to be shelved for a time. And, answer like a politician to specific questions. That's twitter 101.

I can say that twitter is not only in our top 3 for traffic, but also for sales as well :) It works if you know how to work it.

How do you mean networking? Networking with other adult webmasters, networking with surfers (that converts into sales) networking with random people?

i have some stuff on autopilot that makes the occasional sale. when i used i for updates nothing really.
