Grapesoda 09-18-2010 12:35 PM

the 'logo' doesn't click but the text box does. I'm using i.e. 9

loreen 09-18-2010 12:36 PM

A bit confusing (page looks busy), but it works.

Domain Broker 09-18-2010 12:37 PM

they work here, they're probably using some old podunk browser.

DBS.US 09-18-2010 12:38 PM

I would make the patches clickable:2 cents:

Thats my guess, they are trying to click on those (as I did).

DWB 09-18-2010 12:43 PM

They work for me but I wanted to click the patches. It is pretty busy and the patches look like you can click them.

IMHO, I would simplify the join page and make it retard proof. Build for the lowest common denominator and you can't go wrong.

Grapesoda 09-18-2010 12:44 PM

join page 1, mutt 0

anexsia 09-18-2010 12:48 PM

Yeah the join page does look a little busy in my opinion.

Zyber 09-18-2010 12:49 PM

My first reaction was to click on the JOIN in the 4 boxes "It's Easy To Join".

Confusing to use un-clickable buttons for that. You can make it clickable with an Image Map.

The submit buttons in your 3 CCBill forms could show a different cursor when the mouse is over. For example the CSS cursor: hand

Why is there a sleeping guy?

Too many buttons/boxes IMHO. :)

Good luck with your site!

Mutt 09-18-2010 12:52 PM

the whole theme of the design is 'clutter' - like the clutter of a schoolgirl's dorm room.

i will make the patches clickable.

thanks for the feedback.

flpartyduo2 09-18-2010 12:56 PM

couldn't find where to click - make the buttons obvious and active

Agreed... but...

"hand" is an IE property....
cursor: pointer
is the standard

Visually pleasing join page, but seems rather ineffective :2 cents:

I had to remove the crap that ccbill put in like "<--- user code goes here --->"

There is info like that above & below each button area of the html.

mmcfadden 09-18-2010 02:33 PM

CAD displays for me but I'm in us. I am on my phone and know previously ccbill had a problem recognizing location on mobile so likely displays correct on desktop.

I would make the entire left image clickable to cc page. You'll get a higher click to join ratio but may see more signups as well

Same here twice :2 cents:

Mutt 09-18-2010 02:43 PM

Epoch is the backup processor and makes you put that on your join page.

"Theme" should never trump interface/useability, ESPECIALLY when it comes to getting surfers to the pages where they pay. We're not here to make things pretty and artistic, we're here to make money. I can't tell you how many times I've wondered why a site isn't converting and then when I look at the design, flow etc. and it becomes painfully clear. If experienced webmasters like us have an issue getting to a join/signup page, then there's a real problem. Designers make things pretty. The vast majority have no concept of sales, traffic flow, useability etc. "Above the fold" is the most important area of a website. There's no way someone should have to scroll down to see all the join buttons.

Just some food for thought for future designs.

skrog 09-18-2010 02:50 PM

All the join buttons are working for me in Chrome.

Nasty 09-18-2010 03:01 PM

Working for me now

Finike 09-19-2010 12:25 AM

Works on FF - the join button should be more prominent!

TheDA 09-19-2010 04:24 AM

I'm on FF and it's not very clear what you need to click. The join buttons don't look like join buttons and the copy you have on the top one looks more like a statement rather than a call to action.

You need to click on teh join button to see that it is actually a join button.

The "Thanks 4 Your Help" sign it's a turn-off at the psychological level...

That was the first thing I saw on the page and thought it looked very odd.

Can you elaborate on this?

I have actually been planning to use wording like "Donate" on my join page. Now I'm going to do some AB testing if it will work, also to let fans choose how much they want to pay/donate.

Is it a turn-off if a model asks for help/donations?

Thanks for your input.

cykoe6 09-19-2010 06:05 AM

Works fine for me. :)

If it's the first thing you ever see on the site then yes. And I really think on a site that has a fee already asking for donations looks very wrong.

Maybe something on a separate site.

Taking suggestions on something she will do. Then saying ok to do that will cost a fortune - if you all really want me to do it please donate and when it gets to x amount I will be able to do it.
With a shit loads of hugs and kisses thank you stuff to anybody that donates.

J. Falcon 09-19-2010 06:22 AM

It's different. I personally don't like it.

Mutt 09-19-2010 06:27 AM

i asked for help regarding the buttons on the join page .... i think i know how to sell a solo girl site - few do.

Scotty.T 09-19-2010 06:43 AM

They are working for me :)
