remember when tv actually shut off?

you get the national anthem, then the bars?

those were the days.

Ive got that version of the anthem burnt into my brain.

I think this is it.

I remember having infomercials to keep me company at night.

Now... programming?

Before infomercials.

I vaguely remember this. WASN'T THIS AFTER TWILIGHT ZONE? lol.

I remember that very well - sort of miss the TV telling me like a mother - OK, the rest of Canada is going to bed, time for you now. I still wait on Christmas day for the Queen's message - not that I pay much attention but it's tradition hearing her voice

Then came those annoying David Bronstein Live one on one discreet paid advertisements. When i was going to university in the 90s that's all that was on in the wee hours. The euro music was the best part and i think Tom Vu paid advertisements were around that time as well. Or maybe that was fatfoo. things that make you go hmmmmm

that was time to go to bed. mom and dad did too.

That was obviously before my time!
