Installing WindowsXP from a USB stick?
A little while ago windows shit the bed on my netbook. I gave Ubuntu Netbook Remix a try and installed it off a USB stick, creating a bootable drive with the ISO. Is there a way to do this with windows? Like say create a bootable drive from the USB stick with TinyXP on it or something? I can't get the wireless drivers to work with UbuntuNR so I don't know what to do with the heap of shit.
Alternatively anyone had issues with wireless drivers on UNR who knows how I can work my way around the issue? |
what netbook and what wireless chipset?

It's a cheap ass Lenovo Ideapad s10 Model 11G3G. Intel 945GSE Chipset I believe.
Ubuntu Netbook remix looks great, but having issues with the Wireless drivers and it's driving me fucking crazy. Googled the hell out of it, followed some instructions, no luck. It's essentially a paper weight at the moment, which is a pain in the ass because I'm taking off on a road trip for a month or so and would like to pack the netbook along with me for internet access where ever I can find hotspots along the way, as opposed to popping into cafes and shit.... |
