LinkedIn > Twitter > Facebook IMO.
LinkedIn = steak
Twitter = white bread
Facebook = donut
Granted this is my perspective thus far from a marketing view...I've managed to network some on Twitter and gotten some business through there, but it is for the most part a massive spamfest and empty conversation. Facebook on the other hand seems to be just about entirely a massive spamfest and empty conversation but including IRL friends interacting with each other since it's now the place online to do that. LinkedIn is where the gold has been. I've done about 5-figures in biz on the limited time I've spent there and done a lot of networking and making business contacts who may yet pan out to immense value. I talk with friends/family on Facebook the times I don't email or call them, I talk with acquaintances and do bits of networking on Twitter, and do the bulk of my networking on LinkedIn now.
I wouldn't be surprised if LinkedIn manages to be more valuable of a business than Twitter and ultimately possibly more than Facebook too.
