I don't get Jersey Shore
 

Ran out of DVR stuff to watch so watched a few episodes on demand and I just don't get the big deal about Jersey Shore, how can that show be such a success? A bunch of low class vulgar people insulting each other all day?

There are about six of these types of shows in production right now -- each profiling a different ethnic class. In addition to the Irish one shot in Boston, they are shooting one with Russians in Brighton Beach.

Whats their view on the so-called ground zero mosque? Get drunk and throw up? Awesome.

Same attraction as the Jerry Springer show basically. Exploiting the dumb for laughs.

I used to spend my summers at the Jersey shore. I've never seen any of that shit.

Of course that was thirty years ago.

Our society has been dumbed down since the 60s and we're at the peak of our stupidity. That's why shows like Arrested Development get canceled and shows like this shit get high ratings. Most Americans are stupid which is why I don't mind that a select few run the country.

I grew up on the south Jersey shore and the people who'd flock in from NY and otherwhere during summer? They were shoobies. They wore shoes on the beach.
