Industry Petition for PayPal to accept adult for b2b (and possible b2c too)
Feasible? They need to hear us and realize how much they can make from adult, both from a B2B and B2C angle
I was thinking something along the lines of they can do a high hold back and we pay them an annual fee of $5-10k or so for the privilege. On another angle - aren't they discriminating? GFY lawyers can comment on that Ok I'll go back to dreaming now |
Many adult B2B services do already use paypal.
I imagine that if I applied and asked Paypal Quality Control to look at my site linkspun (adult b2b) that I would get approved and be able to add Pay It Now buttons. |
Dream on

will not happen
|
i dont think paypal needs adult though right now adult could really use some paypal
|
Both JuicyAds and Plugrush uses Gaypal, no problems there.

B2C never gunna happen. B2B see above, already used. Just cant by content through it I believe. Design, links, writing services, domains, hosting, advertising... not a problem.
|
paypal could give a shit about adult. Wont happen :)
|
they are not stupid. once you allow adult the scammers will come, and all kinds of shady biz..they sure dont want to end u like epass..it is jsut not worht it for them...
but with little inventiveness some adult companies are already paying via paypal.. |

i use paypal all the time - just use clean email addresses and do not put "Payment for cumonmyass.com" in the subject line :2 cents:

Ha, hell will freeze over first!!! The only thing Paypal ever innovated was it's initial concept and ever since then it's been king of the hill and hasn't done shit. They are sooo afraid of legal issus they wouldn't touch this with a ten-foot pole (no, that's not a porn refrence, lol). Actually, on a serious note I have a client who sells e-cigarettes and Paypal intantly turned them down because of legal issues that industry is facing.
I somewhat undestand Paypal's decision though, the revenue stream might be huge but they (a) don't want to sully their name by going to the "porn underworld" and (b) don't want to get sued. They are a large corporation built on automation, hence are unwilling to add extra overhead to review sites more closely. |
why bring attention to us?
|
I phoned paypal a while back asking if i can take money for scripts targetted to the adult industry, and they had no problem wiht it.
|
B2b is b2b its not adut, selling memberships is adult

additionally PP is not suitable for receiving payments in many countries unlike Epass has been doing with Visa cards

Someone doesn't understand how 'High Risk' works.

Adult is a very tiny drop in the bucket to Paypal, it would be a waste of time to try to convince them to take adult. They won't, period.
|
PP used to process for adult, hell they even attended mant of the first Internext shows. They learned all about the problems, cheaters, fraud..tec... and decided it was just not worth the hassels.:2 cents:

Paypal is not a bank. How hard would it be to setup an adult version.
1. Surfer deposits money from his "adult" paypal account - Not VISA or credit card system. 2. Surfer buyers membership with account details 3. Adult Paypal pays site owner minus a % cut for them. |
I think paypal just doesnt like processing payments for porn surfers - Too many chargebacks.
If you have an adult site that is b2b i believe they will accept it. They just dont want to process 1000's of porn memberships becuase of the high chargeback rate.. |
