That great feeling after you accomplish something tough in a game...
I have the Dr Mario WiiWare game for the Wii, and when bored one day about a week ago, started playing it after several months of not. After playing the regular game a bit, I realized I had never played the Virus Buster part of the game (which I guess was a minigame in Brain Age 2 on the DS, which I don't have).
After getting accustomed to it on medium difficulty, I went for the gusto - playing level 20 on hard difficulty, which was the hardest thing I've played in any game in a long ass time...like for those of you who've played tetris, imagine tetris but with 3 pieces falling simultaneously albeit slowly, and 5 seconds later, whether you've placed them or not, 3 more come, and then 3 more, etc. I realized at some point, you just have to take only the ones that will help and ignore the rest while they sort of pile up and sooner or later it's a race to get rid of the virii before the pile reaches the top. Anyways, finally after maybe 400+ stabs at it over the past several days, I beat it and went fucking nuts! The only gain from having done it is it goes to Level 21 so kind of a FUUUUUUUUUU- moment when realizing how much time I wasted on it but still. :upsidedow Means absolutely nothing in the scope of life I guess, but not much else beats that feeling of finally pwning something difficult. |
Totally with you MD.. I havent played a game in forever but whne Starcarft 2 FINALLY came out i bought it and fininished the campagn in a few days. But then went back through and over the past month when I have time have been increasing and jsut finished the campaign on hard what a rewarding feeling.. almost the same a sfinishing our master website but now tim eto move to the hardest setting.
