Obama Wins Right To Hide Bush War Crimes

http://www.salon.com/news/opinion/gl...ama/index.html

Quote:

In a 6-5 ruling issued this afternoon, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals handed the Obama administration a major victory in its efforts to shield Bush crimes from judicial review, when the court upheld the Obama DOJ's argument that Bush's rendition program, used to send victims to be tortured, are "state secrets" and its legality thus cannot be adjudicated by courts.
Change we can believe in :thumbsup

Business as usual in Washington DC. Nothing ever changes.

Slutboat 09-10-2010 05:34 PM

His failure to prosecute the Cheney/Bush Crime Family will go down in history as Obama's biggest mistake.

And the next president's failure to prosecute the Obama/Pelosi crime family will be his next biggest mistake. However, Obama's mistakes are countless.:1orglaugh

scary shit

Presidents don't go after former presidents. If they did just about any president could go after just about any other president if he wanted to. During the length of a presidency every president does stuff that could get him in trouble. If the president that followed him then went after him every president would end up jail.

We have dirtbags getting elected now, imagine who we would get if every president ended up being prosecuted by his predecessor and ended up in jail.

PornMD 09-10-2010 06:04 PM

Bromance as usual.

Politics as usual but still very disappointing.

Those judges are the ones that should be ashamed of themselves.

Republican, democrat, whoever, doesn't make sweet fuck all for difference, none of them have"fucked up" at all. They've played their roll, stood on the pedestal and got blasted by one side or the other for their term, and walked away into the comfortable life of freedom they've been guaranteed. Might as well scrap the antiquity of having a presidential figurehead and just vote Halliburton, or Monsanto, or McDonalds, or some other fucking corp into the position. They're the ones calling the shots anyhow...

Does anyone else think Resident Evil's Umbrella Corporation is based on Monsanto?

Also...Umbrella Corp FTW!

Presidents by law enjoy two things, their past life is labeled top secret and they can not break the law during their presidency.

DateDoc 09-10-2010 07:32 PM

If you want real change vote for a tea party candidate. Who knows they may surprise you and not turn DC into a politics as usual kind of place. Just stay away from the ones that are really wacko.

TheDoc 09-10-2010 07:39 PM

Doesn't Presidents pardon themselves or whatever that is, the vp, ect before they leave office? So anything that tried to come up would simply fail either way.

First step, stop letting corporate interests fund political campaigns... :2 cents:

thats done... meaning the supreme court decided.. i think it will be extremely difficult to change that now...

all we can do going forward, by voting these fucks out of office, is to tell politicians that if they plan on funding their elections with corporate money then they wont get voted in..

i used to think that americans were too stupid to get on board with this, but i still hold out hope...

This.

Thank you once again, Kane, for providing an accurate, succinct account of the way things are for the people who don't 'get it' or are being purposefully obtuse and intellectually dishonest.
