I have seen many offering wire transfers with $30 or even $45 fee

The whole idea of "free" wire fees is sort of a Red Herring as virtually all banks have a base charge for both domestic and international wires. If a sponsor is not charging you the wire fee, that same sponsor is making up for the cost elsewhere, most likely in lowered payouts.

There ain't no free lunch and besides, if you have money coming in, what is better, the speed and security of a wire transfer or having your money sent to something like ePass or even worse, waiting around for a mailed check, so that you can then wait even longer to make certain that the check clears?

I sign up for wires whenever possible, regardless of the cost.

errrr, some sponsors see it as the cost of doing business.

There is no cost to sending wires. If you bank charges you a wire fee, you are not a customer they like.

Just to clarify my position, I would think most make up for the additional costs with volume.

We have a small $10.00 fee for wires. But if you do a little bit of a volume we could wave that fee.:pimp

No, not really, since I called both of my banks to ask about this matter and received the same response from both. It takes time for both sponsors and banks to do the transfers, so someone is going to pay for it.

It would seem though that this thread has eilicited favorable responses from sponsors who are not passing along the cost to affiliates though and that is a very good thing.

Yes, someone pays for everything, in one way or another. Magical thinking on your part, I'm afraid.

One way or another, there is no free lunch but evidently many sponsors are not passing along the cost of sending and that is a good thing whhile at the same time I have no issues at all with sponsors who do charge. They are protecting their bottom line as well they should. Their bottom line goes to shit, so does yours!

Welcome to the internet. Let me introduce you to a concept called "Online banking" (or "Internet banking" for some)".

Just like you can setup Automatic epassporte transfers, the same can be done with wire. It dont cost you anything, and your bank dont have to do anything.

Smartbucks doesn't and has a $300 min.
