REMINDER: print out your epassporte statement NOW

For those of you that treat epass as normal income and not a way to avoid taxes, you should print out or save a statement NOW. Just in case.

Gerco 09-09-2010 08:27 PM

Why? So you can frame it and hang it next to your final Ibill statement to look at in wonder?

tabasco 09-10-2010 12:56 AM

Good point. I usually save it to .pdf every three months as I prepare my BAS statement. Better do it now in case.

Vick! 09-10-2010 01:43 AM

Did the first thing after I heard the news.

Thanks for reminder though.

CamWealth 09-10-2010 01:46 AM

Just made quick yearly printouts back to March, 2006. Nice system. How many banks online can do that.

Almost all banks let you do that if you use online banking :1orglaugh

Eh maybe your right. Mine only goes to 6 months tho online for every transaction. But maybe I didnt look enuf. :)

rowan 09-10-2010 03:09 AM

I use two banks, one only has a basic transaction list going back 90 days, the other one has PDF statements (that look exactly like the ones they mail me) going back up to 7 years...

In the case of epassporte it's particularly important since they don't send out paper based statements. If you've never saved this data, it could (emphasis could) disappear when you most need it.

sicone 09-10-2010 03:16 AM

Wait, you mean people in this industry pay taxes... how dare they attempt to run a legit business

Chosen 09-10-2010 04:45 AM

Thanks for the reminder, my statement 19 pages long, started from 15 Mar 2003 :)

CaptainHowdy 09-10-2010 06:13 AM

Bumpin'...

Paul&John 09-10-2010 09:50 AM

Thanks for the reminder :)

tranza 09-10-2010 11:16 AM

Uhmmmm... I just grabbed the last year statements (had done it already).

Do you guys really think I should get it forthe whole period??

tranza 09-10-2010 11:24 AM

Just downloaded the statement for the whole period I've been using Epass.

For my busiest account, opened in 2005, I had a total of 128 pages! :P

st0ned 09-23-2010 07:33 PM

Just wanted to bump this up and say thank you for the reminder. I hadn't backed them up before seeing this thread and they are now gone since the release of the most recent statement.

J. Falcon 09-23-2010 07:40 PM

It was thanks to this thread that I did.
Thanks Rowan.

Chosen 09-23-2010 07:54 PM

I have printed my statement as rowan suggested.
But in fact I had and still have all the money in my wallet.
And thanks to ePassporte I still cannot withdraw these money, for 3 weeks by now.

revert13 09-23-2010 07:56 PM

Am I the only one that when I click on "Online Statement" it wont load? Thats where you guys go to download your statements right?

wolfshade 09-23-2010 07:57 PM

And you won't. You will have to get in touch with the bank now. That statement you printed might become very useful now :)

NaughtyRob 09-23-2010 07:58 PM

Mine wont load either. We are fucked.

Horny Guy 09-23-2010 07:58 PM

Warning: Visa transaction data could not be retrieved. Please try again later.

lol gets better and better

signupdamnit 09-23-2010 08:02 PM

For those who didn't you MIGHT be able to find it still in your browser's cache depending on configuration. Make a backup of the cache directories now. Don't get your hopes up though. I think many refrain from caching dynamic ssl encrypted pages. Might be worth a shot though. :2 cents:

My "real" bank only goes back 18 months.

st0ned 09-23-2010 08:05 PM

At the time this thread was created I was able to backup statements dating back to 2006.

Agent 488 09-23-2010 08:07 PM

heh should have seen this thread earlier.

just a punk 09-23-2010 08:09 PM

Actually the last statement of Epassporte is null and void because you were working with them but not with St. Kitts Bank.

Fat Panda 09-23-2010 08:11 PM

fucking epassporte

I looked a bit more into this to potentially help someone.

Firefox: Apparently does NOT usually cache ssl by default to disk (but it is unclear)
Maybe try this to give it a shot: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2489/

IE 7 + 8: Apparently DOES cache it.
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1...ent-over-https

Chrome: Appears not to cache SSL (see link above)

It appears if you used IE recently to view it you stand a puncher's chance of getting it. :2 cents:
