Epassporte Mess Will Clean Up This Industry
 

I know a lot of people are upset with Epass and this whole mess, but I think that it could actually be good for the adult business. My prediction is that once this issue have been settle down, either webmaster took their money out or it lost forever, this industry will be better off than before. As it become more difficult to send/receive money, more people will just leave the industry then simply start over again. More likely more people will be selling their biz. This have already happens but the pace will pick up speed. That will decrease the number of competition (for both freesites and paysite owner) and it will weed out the bad guys especially those from countries where laws as less likely to be enforced.

It will also make it less likely that people who try to scam the system (i.e. like carding, fraud, etc) will leave if payment they receive are more difficult to get because if you are a criminal you surely don't want to send ID of yourself. And those criminals living in coutries like US/CAN/UK etc., surely would think twice before sending in their IDs. Before all this mess, AWE/Perfect Gonzo (now gone) and others can actually set you up for an epass account even if you are located in countries where fraud are highly suspected and very difficult to get an epass account. Not only will they create you an account, they actually will mail you an epass card too. In this process, criminals or those who in this business to do shady stuff can easily hide their identity. But now it will be much more difficult it likely most will leave.

Newbie coming into this industry will more likely to get crushed as they are now fighting to earn a profit, and now must also find ways how to easily get paid and send money to keep their business afloat. As the latter becomes more difficult it just would be too inconvenience for those making under 1K/mon to stick around in this business.

If you already go a big chunk in epass, write it off as a loss in your taxes. In the end I think this industry might turn out better than expected when all the dust are settle.

i don't think it will put the pirates or the big tubes out of biz. I hardly think a bunch of scammers trying to card programs is the reason for sales ratios turning to shit.

I think getting rid of the people that don't matter won't matter.

sponsors who close doors, yeah cleans up nicely, on our expenses

Epass can go bankrupt with all my money in ... I won't leave the biz
My dedi servers company can be caught in a natural disaster or something ... I won't leave this biz
Programs that I work with can run away with my money (won't be the first time!)... I won't leave this biz

I just won't leave it because I'm legit, I work hard and I have the knowledge to make money out of it.

I will say 98% of all fraud we deal with is affiliates getting paid by epass......

I would say 100% of all shaving is done by sponsors.

Honestly if i had my own program i would only offer epass to affiliates only with a proven track record with sales. Epass and pps is a dangerous combo since you dont know who really the owner of the epass account is.

People preferred to pay me via epass, so I accepted epass even though I had to go through incredible hassle to have epass account because I live abroad as a Canadian citizen, and epass would insist to send my card to Canada even though my Canadian bank would send it to me ANYWHERE in the world if I sent them a written statement, but OK anything for the convenience of the clients.

Now that epass is not likely to be around any longer, I have adapted 10 different ways of accepting payment to try and keep the clients 'convenience' at a maximum high.

For me visa ATM was convenient way to get money, now my accountant will have 10x more work getting money from 10 different payment systems via wire/check and tracking incoming/outgoing all over... great :D

People going out of business and being broke, and you are excited and seeing it as less competition? What an asshole.

Or you must be someone with zero expertise to compete against small webmasters, because no big name is going out of business for sure.

This business has been shedding people for the last 2 years. Epass going will make the process a bit faster.
