Frankly, I doubt most care.

Historically we have seen many names slammed and bashed all over the board, and yet they come back and people still use their programs and promote them. They open a new program or shadow company, people line up and sign up. We have seen endless number of tube threads about content theft and killing this industry with sites like Brazzers, Vidz, among others yet people still promote them, producers still shoot for them. BROventions still take their ad dollars, and some sponsor the conferences. We have seen endless issues with EPASS over the years, yet people still use them. Some web hosting companies slammed on GFY almost weekly, and people still host with them.

In the end, the only people who care about trolls are trolls. Business still gets done.

what made me post this was becasue of google. I used to buy 100k a year in adwords and after years of doing biz with them they shut me off for no reason. I couldnt get any answers from anyone there. finally spoke to one of the costumer support people and they said google doesnt care because they are the 3rd largest company in the world. I was shocked and I was a customer plus I followed all the T & C

now all my biz goes to yahoo and bing.

Welcome to the club of people booted from Google. Was it for adult? I know other webmaster's who got their accounts canned for x-sales below the submits, others for girls who looked too young, etc. etc. And some of these accounts were in the 6 figures per month too and Google could care less anymore. No the reason why the industry is struggling. Innovation is not the key its jacking off not rocket science.
The problem is cost of entry is too cheap to get into adult. So you have so many people running after only so many people. So the goal has became to fuck the customer make my quick buck and get out. being faceless on the net also feeds that its easier to fuck someone when you dont have to see them face to face.When you had bricks and mortar you wanted to take care of the customer so he came back and you had a large investment in the store.
I remember the recession in the 80's I worked in the car business a dealership was closing a week in the US. When I got laid off from Mercedes, adult which was my part time gig became my ft gig. I worked in strip clubs, video stores. They made all types of money and took care of the customer. When the economy went south this time, the industry should of been pulling back on free content instead of giving away free scenes on the hope someone will like it so much they will buy. The problem is most of them never were porn buyers so they don't understand how the porn buyers mind works. If I found I scene I liked, I could jack off to it for years.
There are no leaders in this industry. .xxx could really fuck this industry up and not one of the so called leaders showed up at the icann meeting. Now if there was some vacation spot, a look at how big my cock is webmaster event large percentage of their asses would all be there. The brick and mortar guys were long term thinkers and if this industry doesnt switch to that. Its in trouble.

It got stolen from me in 2004 by a company called Limelight Video who then got bought out by Homegrown. They didnt buy Modelgig though. I have no idea who the fuck owns it now.
