Checks are a major pain in the ass for us (well me at least) in Canada.

3-4 week hold on US checks, and the small town bank I'm at asks all the wrong questions about them (it's none of their business but try telling them that.)

I usually save them up, and drive 3 hrs south to the city and cash them at moneymart, just to avoid the above.

Na, but I do actually sign them all myself. I have tried the stamps and the digital signature then but every sample I do I hate. I might start having Billie put a nice lipstick kiss on each one as well.

:uhoh

They would only hold my checks the first time it was from that particular company. After receiving multiple checks from the same company they'd clear them instantly...

They did until they saw some of the names and figured it all out.

Population of 1,200. You can just imagine I'm sure.

Not a big deal though, get big payments wired or epass'd (well prior to this).

AZNNC 09-03-2010 02:05 PM

Your bank sucks.
I had 3-4 week holds on my first couple checks, but now that I've been cashing them weekly the bank stopped asking. Request they put a note on your account to not put a hold on it and get to know your tellers.

famous 09-03-2010 02:10 PM

i stopped with checks mainly cause they kept bouncing. Now my epass is held. so not sure how i am suspose to get money now. Maybe trade for hookers and blow?

Jason Voorhees 09-03-2010 02:18 PM

ummm promote solid programs. We operate under Stripe Media, a Washington State U.S. S-corp with a clean slate and a rock solid reputation in the business. Where is your traffic?

The hold should only happen the first few times you deposit a check from a given company, after that the hold should be taken off. If it hasn't, change banks/throw a brick through your existing bank's window.

When are finals? I know you'll do good man..

Toma 09-03-2010 05:20 PM

ok for us people... but other people have to wait, and wait and wait untill they shit in the pants to get the checks + after that some time more waiting at the bank for their "checking" of the check

famous 09-03-2010 05:21 PM

US based done this for 11 years :) I have gotten bad checks from almost every known or unknow program. They always take care of it, its just the point of having to deal with it and it mucks up the book work.

Yeah, let's just say that industry check's don't have the greatest batting average this year. So I can't really complain.

What would I say, "Hey don't hold that for 3 weeks, 16 out of 20 of their checks never bounced this year yet".

I think you should move bro.

Yanks_Todd 09-03-2010 05:31 PM

not sure what to say to some of the above, I have never bounced a check to an affiliate. I guess you don't promote me though because I have also never done triple digit PPS weekends. Thoughts??

Aha! :small-smi

So throwing a brick it is then. Though maybe switch bank to program owner's heads.

Change banks. No hold on my US cheques with BMO. edit: I am outside a town of 500 and have to drive to a town of 2800 to use the bank.
