I am sure there is a 'reason' or rationale behind why others have not done this prior to now. Whether risk management, profit, or what not. Otherwise, I am sure the CCB's would have already been on it.

If I had setup my cart using epass I'd be fucked right now. As it is, I can take Credit Cards. So yeah its a good thing.

If you're using CCBill for billing, there is also a CCBill module for Zen Cart. On the other hand if you want your own merchant account you can get one with the initial Visa fee waived and use any cart that supports digital goods.
