Epassporte knew at 5AM? VERY FUCKING FISHY!

According to this post by Michael:
https://gfy.com/showpost.php?p=17463562&postcount=583
which reads:
I will be gone for a couple of hours my better half is in the hospital with a mild (luckily) case of Dengue fever and I were told about this ePass issue 5am this morning and have been working since then first in the hospital and for a few hours at home.

SOMETHING IS VERY FUCKED UP HERE!

1. Epassporte knew at 5AM but didn't warn anyone until it was too late to take our money out.
2. Michael changed his signature and it doesn't show the epassporte banner anymore. WHY?
3. No explanation has been given to us about why the money can't be transferred to the Wallet, or why "Visa International has suspended our banking partner?s (St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank) ePassporte Visa program".
4. VISA IS NOT A BANK, SO THEY CAN NOT HOLD EPASSPORTE'S MONEY. WHERE IS THE MONEY?

We have the right to know! It is our money in there!!!!!
This is very fishy and all we get is "it will be solved", but NOTHING HAS BEEN SOLVED!

WHAT IS REALLY HAPPENING HERE?

Slappin Fish 09-03-2010 05:29 AM

Michael lives in Thailand, I am guessing he found out 5am local time.

He doesn't. Girlfriend has Dengue should also give you a small clue :1orglaugh:1orglaugh don't think Dengue carrying mosquitoes made it to Denmark yet...

TeenCat 09-03-2010 05:33 AM

please more drama ... all you can do now is wait, and all the fucked up theories, even if they might be right, are not bringing anything to the situation. and if he remove his sig, sounds normal to me as email is his preferred method now and in the epass thread there will flood of his big epass sigs ... everyone have there money, and everyone can only wait :2 cents:

Nick_Merlot 09-03-2010 05:35 AM

The way I see it, VISA is not a bank indeed. And our money is actually in St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank. But the problem is that :
Quote:

Visa International has suspended our banking partner?s (St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank) ePassporte Visa program.
which means that it is possible that VISA has problem with the Bank not Epass. Epass just has some kind of agreement with this bank to issue the Visa cards since it cannot do this itself because it's not a bank. So out money are safe in the bank, it's just that we cannot take them out of the ATM because our VISA cards are not operational.

I think that if the St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank and VISA won't come to agreement soon, Epass can find another bank like that and wire all the funds there and that new bank will issue new VISA cards.

Unless the whole fucking bank is going under.

Mr. Cool Ice 09-03-2010 06:31 AM

Micheal has posted before he lives in Thailand. His 5am came many hours before any of ours.

Then there is a question - why we can't move money between a wallet and a visa virtual accounts in a epassporte?

I have never used a wallet, so I don't know about this. I can assume that the transfer to the wallet is done by VISA.

Michael O 09-03-2010 07:06 AM

So why can't we move the money from Virtual to Wallet?

Epassporte is restricting it for some reason.

No it isn't. That's not how time zones work.

maxpower 09-03-2010 07:12 AM

epass will not release my funds and give the same old story on how they are working on it. No one will ever get their money back, epass is Dead along with your money.

Also frankly I think Nats is a rigged program now, so just about every program is ripping you off before they sent you the payments you will never get.......

TheLegacy 09-03-2010 07:26 AM

First off - please stop posting where your money is kept - you don't think someone in government accounting can raise and eyebrow and start looking? Secondly - epass's timing for whatever reason is just that - a series of events that takes time.

They heard - they freaked out and made calls - they held a panic meeting deciding at that time to not only get a group of skilled negotiators to be talking to the right people - plus lawyers - then also at the same time they wanted to inform as many as possible about this situation including posting on webmaster boards. All of this does take time and I would be skeptical of any president who suddenly got news then posted it for all to see. He did what he needed to do - assess the situation - make recommendations - send in a team to not only deal with problem but also to notify us. Keep in mind that any statement needs to be proofed by lawyers for the potential of future lawsuits which may arise... the fact they did this as soon as they did shows that they do care and that they were able to get a great deal of the above mentioned accomplished in a short amount of time (no matter where he lives) - he still overcame a huge serious of events to let us all know about the problem less than 24 hours.

Which btw considering what some companies have done - they did it within a shorter period of time than anyone else.

Whatever happens my hope is that they will not ignore us like other companies
