org domains
I got an email from SmapNames that a NetSol has given up control over org domains. I happen to have 1 org domain that I have used for adult sites and I know there are others out there. Anybody worried about new regulations coming down which stop org domains being used for adult?
Quote Public Interest Registry assumes control of .org VeriSign relinquished its authority over the .org top-level domain to the Public Interest Registry (PIR), a group set up by the nonprofit Internet Society (www.isoc.org) to administer .org. The .org domain is the Internet's fifth-largest top-level domain, with 2.4 million names registered, and was originally intended for use by noncommercial organizations.http://zdnet.com.com/2110-1106-978940.html |
I dont think i have any .orgs

Well hindsight is always 20/20 and I would not use a org domain now, but don't want to lose what I have.

They won't try to fuck with your business because they know they would probably be sued out of existence if they tried.

Dood you have nothing to worry about, there are thousands of pornsites sitting on .orgs. No one will go after you for it because you have porn on it.
|
Well I am glad to hear there will not be any changes.
Thanks for the feedback |
indeed, personally i prefer .edu, .gov and .mil for porn domains
