DESIGN CONTEST: $500 for a logo!!!
 

Hey guys,

This is the deal, I'm opening a new mainstream business and I need a professional looking, but cool, logo design done!

I've asked a local designer I know, but the resultas were terrible. Check for yourself below:

A little bit of feedback:

1. It's a service business that will install high end flat screen TVs and home theathers.

2. The name is: PLUGA TV (something like Plug TV in portuguese)

3. I wanted to use the "power symbol" from the TVs instead of the "G" in the logo (like theones before, but better...). And it must stand out on the logo.

4. Collors? Uhmmm. Since it's a brand new business, feel free to create in any color. Just remember: it must look professional and cool.

5. I want to be able to use this logo not only on the site, but also on stickers for example.

6. Contest:will run between today and next Tuesday (September 7th). The winner will get $450 and must deliver a high quality logo, all (if any) fonts used, and a file that I'll be able to play with later (.psd or .ai or anything like that). The 2nd place will get a "consolation prize" of $50.

7. The winner *might* be hired to design the whole site, and some other stuff (like newsletters, business cards, etc).

Here's my suggestion, based around the power button, power cord/plug and play button
Can be tweaked if you pick it, and of course - a vector..

ok good idea but the letter L are seems missing or its letter I instead, though still there is a power symbol on the G

If you're referring to the 2nd logo, L was there but lowercase (like the "u" next to it), its top was cut off by the cord, but I see what you meant and it probably was a bit confusing.. extended it now, should be corrected, thanks for catching that

oh ok but now its looks more like "i" or it just my hazy eyeglasses :)

hey tranza, which design at this point are you leaning towards, so other designers know what style you're after?

Tranza I think if you combined your local designers 3-4 and 5 you would be there. dark grey p,l,u and a...red g...blue tv. i think it would be better on a plain white background for most media like signs and print as well.

and btw...send me the psd and i will do it for you for free in a couple secs

Hello, what part of "the results were terrible" did you not understand? Why don't you do your own version for free and let's see how good you are? Otherwise, if you're not a designer, go ahead and see your way out. This is a "Design" contest, not an Opinion contest.

You should put your contest on 99designs.com instead. For $500 you would get at least 100 entries. Plus higher quality work.
