Is anyone converting w/ these guys?

I am seeing low sign-ups, really low.. I went and tested their landing page and its a pretty big hassle to complete - it may just be the lander I selected, but I don't know if I want to try again until I know if the results will improve.

I created an account as a customer, just to see what the fuss was about, and how much better it was supposed to be than AFF, etc. I did not upload a pic, or fill out a profile, yet everyday I receive 5-10 emails from various girls (some porn stars!), telling me they love my profile and want to connect with me. As a consumer, after seeing all that BS, I would not sign up for Swurve. :2 cents:

Hey Naughty, we work really hard to keep porn star images and spammers off our site. In fact we have received mass kudos from content producers for keeping the site as clean as we do. I'm not saying one or two don't slip by our screeners, but as far as that quality is concerned we're doing more than anyone else.

If you have a blank profile, no photos and aren't communicating with members of the service in any way it's tough to buy you are getting between 5 to 10 emails per day.

If you want to discuss feel free to hit me up on ICQ, but I ask you not to exaggerate and trash my brand.

We're really working hard to put out a different product, keep in mind Swurve is only a few months old but we have some new communication tools that we will be rolling out in a matter of days that will help take Swurve to the next level.

Swurve DOES have a softer edge, so because we don't currently have any hardcore landers we may not be a better solution for all affiliates, but for many affiliates we are converting traffic at or better than the big boys, and we're converting alot of traffic other programs have not been able to monetize as well (Web 2.0/Social).

And I don't mind them spamming the users w/ profiles and trying to get me sales.. Its just that the form is almost impossible to complete.

I don't mean to trash your brand, but I am speaking the truth here, not exaggerating. As far as porn star pics, I don't see a lot of them, but I do see a few. But, the majority of the pics in the profiles I get messages from do look fake. I honestly don't even log into the site. I'm just going by the email notifications I get on a daily basis. I just logged in now for shits and giggles, and I have 107 new messages, with a blank profile and no activity on the site. I took screenshots...I was going to post them after I read BigDeanEvans' post, but I'm not looking to stir up drama. I don't know how well it converts, and maybe it's a different experience for those consumers who sign up for paid accounts. But I do know what I've personally experienced, and that's merely what I stated in my post. I apologize if you feel I was attacking your brand, I was merely trying to portray the view a potential sign-up may have.

I didn't take it that way, my feathers aren't ruffled with you at all. Feel free to ask for feedback from other webmasters.

To give you a range of what the program can do- Tube sites and untargeted are running about 1:50 free to paid, targeted traffic (dating / social) is running average 1:25 free to paid, and pre qualified traffic is running about 1:5 to 1:7.

The comment I took issue with was from someone else. I'll never shit on someone for giving honest feedback, good or bad, but exaggerations that can hurt my business are not cool. :2 cents:

Can you ICQ me your user name so I can see what you're seeing? If you're not logging into the site, you're not communicating with members and you have a blank profile unless you've got a user name like BigDickSugarDaddy4U 5 to 10 emails a day seems out of control. :1orglaugh

I've had similar off of a few dating sites that I have signed up to just for a looksee. Can't really keep out the people who are trying to promote something unless you run a lot of similar dead accounts and nuke whoever contacts them.

Well my opinion is that if the program is sending a bunch of emails and trying to turn my sign ups in to sales, that's fine. Not only that but look at any of the top 5 dating programs and how many emails they send. Its somewhere near a metric fuckton.

Anyway, I actually think this thing has some good potential, again I wasn't trying to cause problems just wanted some stats. Once a few of the minor kinks are worked out it should do really well - it looks good..

Just an FYI guys... I do use a site like Swurve to look for random hot guys to have naughty on camera action with. It makes the sex hot and for me it keeps me from having to hire male porn stars that act too much and make my scenes too fake. I prefer real sex, with real guys! So when you see my photo with the profile name BarbiSinclair, please don't come to the conclusion that it is a fake profile. I have had my profiles deleted many times (keep in mind these are profiles that I pay for. Yes, they don't give me free profiles even though I promote them on my site) of which it seems like an act of congress to get back. One site I use is a swinger site (being that my husband and I are swingers) and the other is a very well known established one. Iv gotta say that Shelly would never do anything shady and she has a lot of pride in her brand and has worked damm hard to get it where it is now. Look how quick she responds to any problems which is more than a lot of programs do. And beleive it or not some porn stars do use dating sites for promotion of themselves. Dating sites will allways have a lot of both fake and real members and im sure Shelly does her utmost to keep the site as clean as posible.

We've had a few girls join, or agents of girls sign up. All I ask is that the account is used for the purpose it was intended, to communicate with other members and not upsell a product, and that the images uploaded follow the TOS of the site (aren't watermarked and aren't action shots involving oher parties, etc).

It's not as rare that genuine profiles are created by or for performers as it is that the profiles are used in a manor that complies with the community guidelines :winkwink:

Nonsense... NO girls on ANY dating site are real... maybe 1-2% at most... and 99% of the fake profiles on dating sites are creating inhouse. Swurve included. AFF may have some real girls just because they've been around so long and have been advertised so much.

#1 - send me a link to the site or the content and I'll remove it, or have MilkIt hit me up on ICQ. Be reasonable, if you can't even remember her name how do you expect us to recognise her as talent. All user profiles and content are company assets and I can't delete user pics just based on your memory alone. :2 cents:

#2 - that thumbnail comes from a profile that was included in a purchase of another dating site we absorbed.

#3 - We don't steal content, we buy it. We only use user submitted content for our geo ads and in the profiles on our site. We purchase the content used in all our other marketing creatives and there are enough content producers that post here that can back me up if need be. I don't appreciate the implication we have employees trolling the internet and scraping pics, ask around if you care to- I have volumes of purchased content we haven't even tapped into yet.

Interesting reading. Very hard launching a new brand in such a competitive environment.

I stand behind the brand. I feel we run one of the cleanest, if not thee cleanest, dating programs out there when it comes to proactively yanking licensed content. I've been in the dating space for close to a decade and I am unaware of anyone going to the lengths we do to keep the site clean as we can. We work with content producers to achieve this and to that end we try to be part of the solution, not part of the problem when it comes to content theft. The feedback we've gotten from surfers, webmasters and content producers alike has been overwhelmingly positive in regards to that aspect.

To affiliates complaining about fake profiles in marketing tools... Do you actually think a company would post one of it's customers photos in an iframe that will be embedded in hundreds to thousands of porn sites across the net?

No one polices their user profiles harder- the fact that the images you're trying to cause a stir over are of a solo girl no one remembers from a long gone and now defunct website and NOT Raven Riley or Next Door Nikki is a testament to that.

Swurve is trying to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. For the life of me I can't figure out why you have such a hard on for the program when no one else is doing what we are. We manually view and approve or deny every uploaded image, educate our staff to the best of our ability on who the most commonly pirated girls are, and remove content ourselves. How many companies out there do that? How many companies even care enough to delete images before being forced to by a DMCA? If you want to bitch about this shit, you're knocking down the wrong door.

If you want to change the industry the most powerful tool you have to evoke change is your traffic. If all dating sites are shady why do business with any of us?

If you don't want to work with Swurve, that's your perogative. If you want to hit me up I can try to work with you on how to zero in on what you send us that will make you more money. Some of what you sent was good but some of it was throw away / cast off middle east, etc. We have tools that allow you to set up campaigns and campaign sub ids so you can break down where your hits, frees and paying members are coming from and the conversion ratios for each, so you can see what's worth while for you and what's not so you can improve your ratio and only focus what effort you choose to on what's going to make money for you. Or you can just tell me to fuck off, whatever floats your boat.
