Good point. Honestly Lady Gaga is basically the new Madonna for this generation. I say that more as a negative to this generation than as a positive for Lady Gaga...she's the culmination of Paris Hilton and all the other major sluts of the past decade into a pop singer that simply doesn't sing as well as others that have preceded her and makes Madonna look like Mother Teresa. Lipstick on a pig.

That said, I had thought it couldn't get worse than her and then there was Ke$ha...who couldn't look good even after alcohol and sings like Lady Gaga's asshole.

I know the weather hasn't exactly been nice so the outdoor stuff is going to suffer because the poor girls will be freezing to death but were they actually aware you were photographing them?

She is one of the few artists out there right now who is selling out every show while many other big names are cutting ticket prices, giving tickets away and canceling shows and entire tours. She is the most followed person on twitter, she leads the MTV VMAs with 13 nominations and is getting bigger every day. Hell, I have friends who listen to nothing but classic rock who actually like some of her songs.

I'm no saying she will last 10 years, but look at Britney Spears. When she came out everyone assumed she would have 1 or 2 hit albums then fade away and 10 years later she is still very popular.

We, as businesspeople, should learn from Gaga. She found a niche and exploited it. She doesn't sing well enough to compete head to head with the Christina Aguileras and Mariah Careys. She isn't as hot at Britney Spears (or as hot as she used to be) so she can't compete on that level. So she carved out a niche for herself. She created a persona and she brought the masses to her. She convinved millions of people that what she had to offer was exactly what had been missing from their lives.

It is decent, sometimes vapid, music. But it is brilliant business.

Not soon enough...

To be fair, that's what she wears on stage.
